1. At the 2012 summer games in London, who broke the record for the most Olympic medals won to become the most decorated Olympian of all time?

Answer: Michael Phelps

American swimmer Michael Phelps won six medals at the 2012 games in London, bringing his total Olympic medals won to 22, the highest of any Olympian at the time of those games. Prior to Phelps breaking this record, the most decorated Olympian had been Russian gymnast Larisa Latynina, who won a total of 18 medals between 1956 and 1964.

At the 2008 games in Beijing, Phelps won eight gold medals, breaking swimmer Mark Spitz's previous record of seven golds won in a single Olympic Games, set in 1972.

Answer: Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt was born in Jamaica in 1986 and as a child played cricket and football. In high school he was encouraged by his cricket coach to try track and field which turned out to be a great suggestion! Bolt won the Gold medal at the one hundred and two hundred meter events at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Olympic games.

He also won two Gold medals in the one hundred meter relay event. He has eleven World championships in the same distances, winning consecutive events from 2009 to 2015 in all three events.

He has numerous awards and accolades including IAAF World Athlete of the Year and Track & Field Athlete of the Year. He retired as a professional sprinter after the 2017 World championships. Bolt started a scooter company in 2018 called Bolt Mobility.

He's also appeared on "Saturday Night Live" in a cameo appearance. In addition he's dabbled in music as a producer and with his own single released in January 2021 called "Living the Dream."

One of the lesser known Winter Olympic events, the biathlon is comprised of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting. Competitors ski through a cross-country trail system and are required to hit five targets. The biathlon is a traditional Scandinavian sport, with its origins mainly in Norway.

Answer: Indian Super League

The Indian Super League is the highest professional football league in India. The first season of this tournament occurred in 2014 and it was won by the team Atletico de Kolkata. The second season in 2015 was won by Chennaiyin FC. Other teams that have played in this league are Kerala Blasters which had cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar as its owner, Delhi Dynamos and NorthEast United.

The first two seasons followed a format in which the teams would play in a league battling for points and then there would be play off for the finals.

Opened in 1922, The Rose Bowl hosts an annual college football bowl game which bears its name. It has also been the location of a variety of other prominent sporting events, including the FIFA Finals for the 1994 World Cup and 1999 Women's World Cup; three NFL Super Bowls in the 1980s (1980, 1983, and 1987); and a number of events during the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games.

It became the home football venue for the University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1982 when they moved from the LA Memorial Coliseum; and has even hosted an assortment of major concerts and local civic events.

It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987.

Juventus was founded in 1897 in Turin. At the time it was one of the youngest clubs because of the all the young players the club was attracting - hence the name as Juventus ("Juve" means Youth in Italian). More than a century later the club picked up the nickname "The Old Lady" of Italian football as most of the Juventus players were in their late 20s or 30s. Juve, whose jersey comprises black and white vertical stripes, is the second oldest football club in Italy.

The first club was Genoa CFC.

Answer: Merlin Olsen

Olsen was part of the 'Fearsome Foursome', the defensive line of the Los Angeles Rams in the 1960s. He complemented Rosey Grier, Lamar Lundy, and Deacon Jones in terrorizing opposing quarterbacks. Merlin also co-starred in the television series, "Little House on the Prairie", near the series' end. Olsen died on March 11, 2010.
