4.01 "The Hour of the Wolf" Trivia Quiz

Ivanova: "Have you ever heard of the hour of the wolf?"

Lyta: "No."

Ivanova: "My father taught me about it. It's the time between three and four in the morning. You can't sleep and all you can see is the troubles, and the problems, and the ways that you life should have gone, but didn't. All you can hear is the sound of your own heart. At times like this, My father used to take one large glass of vodka before bed, to kept the wolf away, he said. Then he would take three very small drinks of vodka, just in case she had cubs while she was waiting outside. It doesn't work."

G'Kar: "It is now seven days, since we lost the Captain and Mr. Garibaldi. [Ivanova walking listlessly about the station] In a way, I think we have lost Ivanova. It is as though her heart has been pierced and her spirit has poured out through the wound.

She blamed herself. It is foolish. It is destructive. It is...human. [Londo, alone in the Royal Palace on Centauri Prime] Ambassador Mollari has returned to Centauri Prime, to take up his role as advisor on planetary security. I suppose he is quite happy with his new position.

It's what he always wanted - power, title, responsibility. I think he is more alone than anyone else in the Universe. [Delenn sitting in her quarters with Lennier trying to get her to eat] Delenn has refused to eat for seven days, fasting, praying, and waiting. Delenn believes, I think she is the only one who does.

The Shadows have paused in their pursuit of war and everywhere there is a sense of imminent change. Whether it is a change for good or ill, no one can tell.

As no one has yet answered two very important questions: where is Mr. Garibaldi... [G'Kar is writing down his thoughts in his book] and what happened to Captain Sheridan at Z'ha'dum [Shadow vessels overlooking the crater on Z'ha'dum]."

The League members recalled their ships from Babylon 5 to tighten defences around their own homeworlds, rejecting G'Kar, Ivanova and Delenn's plan to attack Z'ha'dum while the Shadows are vulnerable.

Ivanova: "By pulling our forces apart you are destroying the only chance we have of winning!"

Drazi: "You can not win this war, Commander. You can only survive it. And we intend to survive it."

Answer: His hair crest is short for his status.

Cartagia still wears his hair in the traditional crest, but clipped very short. As the emperor, his hair crest should be the longest of any Centauri. The rest of the court has also clipped their hair shorter.

Cartagia: "Ah, Mollari. It's wonderful to see you again."

Londo: "And you, Majesty. I could swear you have not changed since the last few times I saw you."

Cartagia: "Oh, you are of course too generous. What do you think, Mollari?"

Londo: "It [Cartagia's hair] is, ahem, short, Majesty. Shorter than is traditional for someone of your position."

Cartagia: "Yes. Decadent, isn't it? I find the shorter crest allows me to leave the palace. Walk in places where the nobility would never think of being seen, for the scandal."

Answer: Morden

Londo is shocked to discover that Morden survived (in only the most literal sense of the word) the explosion on Z'ha'dum and it was at his request that Londo was sent to the Centauri homeworld.

Zack finds G'Kar in Garibaldi's quarters.

Zack: "G'Kar! What are you doing here?"

G'Kar [doffing the hat]: "I saw him wearing this from time to time. I thought it would help me. In all the concern about Sheridan, it seems Mr. Garibaldi has been forgotten."

Zack: "No. Not forgotten. But I think he'd want Sheridan found first."

G'Kar: "Then you think he's alive?"

Zack: "I don't know. When you come right down to it, it doesn't matter what I think either way."

G'Kar: "Our thoughts form the universe. They always matter."

G'Kar leaves with the hat still in his hands.

Answer: purple

In order to be consistent with his dream in "The Coming of Shadows", Londo needs to be wearing his purple coat. The minister had his regular coat out to be cleaned, so Londo had to put the purple coat on instead.

Londo: "What have you done?"

Cartagia: "What have I done? I've done nothing. I've given them the island of Selini. It's barely inhabited. Perfectly suited for their purposes. It's a temporary situation. Shelter forces there until things calm down."

Answer: "Voices of Authority"

Ivanova had previously come in contact with the Eye while in the heart of the Great Machine on Episilon 3 in "Voices of Authority". While telepathically searching for Sheridan at Z'ha'dum, the Eye picks up on the transmission.

Lyta: "They [Shadows] heard us! They know we're here! The Eye...is looking for us!"

Ivanova: "I've felt this before. I've been here before...Did you hear that? It knows our names."

Delenn: "You heard it then, too."

Ivanova: "Yes. It knew everything about me. It was calling to me. I would've gone down there if we hadn't... What did it say to you?"

Delenn: "Nothing I can put into words. A voice of infinite sadness. It spoke in the voice of my father."

Ivanova: "And mine."

Answer: patriot

Londo: "Vir, there is a terrible truth: As one accumulates power, one loses friends. One only has those who wish to use you, and those you wish to use. And yet, in all of this, you have somehow managed to walk through the corridors of power and not be touched. I can only assume you have not been paying attention. And still, the hideous truth is, you are the closest thing I have to a friend. I'm as shocked and dismayed by this as you are, but there it is. I need a friend, Vir, and I need a patriot, and you are both. Will you help me, please?"

Vir: "If you had any doubt what my answer would be, would you have asked me to come this far?"

Londo: "No. No I wouldn't have. And now we must do everything we can to save our world. You and I, Vir, must kill Emperor Cartagia."

Answer: "What do you want?"

Sheridan: "Who are you?"

Alien: "Who are you?"

Sheridan: "How did I get here?"

Alien: "You were born."

Sheridan: "Why am I alive?"

Alien: "Well, that is the question, isn't it? Do you mind if I share your fire?"

Sheridan: "No."
