Answer: Constructicons

The Constructicons were a team of Decepticons that consisted of six green and purple colored construction vehicles. The team consisted of Scavenger (steam shovel), Mixmaster (cement mixer), Long Haul (dump truck), Bonecrusher (bulldozer), Hook (crane) and Scrapper (payloader).

In the opening scene of the "Heavy Metal War", the Constructicons raided a human construction site where a new power station was being built. They stole several devices that they needed in order to complete Scrapper's new invention for Megatron.

Answer: "His overdeveloped sense of honor"

Megatron's plan in "Heavy Metal War" was to take advantage of Optimus Prime's sense of honor. Megatron proposed a one-on-one duel where (according to the laws of Cybertron) the loser of the duel and their entire faction would have to leave the planet, leaving the other faction to do as they pleased. Assuming that he could defeat Megatron, Optimus Prime agreed to the duel, hoping to end the Cybertronian war once and for all.

Answer: Shockblast Cannon

When Megatron traveled to Autobot Headquarters unannounced to meet with Optimus Prime, the Autobots detected him approaching and began attacking immediately. The Autobot inventor Wheeljack decided to use this opportunity try out a brand new weapon which he named the Shockblast Cannon.

Unfortunately, the weapon blew up in his hands and Wheeljack ended up getting knocked to the ground in disappointment.

Answer: "gladitorial combats in ancient Rome"

As the Autobots and their human allies took their seats around the duel location, Chip Chase (a teenage boy who used a wheelchair) asked Ironhide if the battle reminded him of "gladiatorial combats in ancient Rome". Being a robot from another planet, Ironhide understandably had no clue what Chip was talking about.

Answer: cluster bombs

In order to gain the upper hand in his duel with Optimus Prime, Megatron decided to use the combined powers of his fellow Decepticons. To do this, he had the Constructicons build a special strength transfer machine, which would transfer the unique powers of the other Decepticons to Megatron.

This allowed Megatron to use both Starscream's null rays and cluster bombs during the duel. It also gave Megatron the ability to use Rumble's earthquakes, Reflector's blinding flashes and Thundercracker's sonic booms.

Answer: Huffer

Due to Megatron's enhancements, he was able to defeat Optimus Prime with relative ease. Not realizing at the time that Megatron had cheated, Optimus chose to honor their agreement. He ordered the Autobots to return to headquarters where they would begin to make preparations to leave the Earth.

In order to help Optimus Prime save some of his remaining strength, Huffer offered to carry Optimus' trailer since he also transformed into a semi-truck cab.

Answer: The Dinobots

While the Autobots were watching the duel, Megatron had sent the Constructicons to Autobot Headquarters in order to destroy their computer, which was named Teletraan I. Megatron felt that without the aid of Teletraan I, the Autobots would not be able to prove that he cheated. However, Teletraan I detected the invading Constructicons and activated the Dinobots to battle them.

Answer: Devastator

After encountering the Dinobots, the Constructicons were driven out of Autobot Headquarters. When they got out to the open air, the six warriors combined into the super robot Devastator. Devastator proved to be a formidable foe for even the mighty Dinobots.

While the Autobots observed the Dinobots battling Devastator, Optimus Prime ordered them not to intervene in order to honor the pact with Megatron.

Answer: He didn't have one

Optimus Prime was soon repaired and as expected Teletraan I detected that Megatron cheated, which nullified their agreement. As Devastator was getting ready to destroy the Dinobots, a white Autobot even larger than Devastator suddenly appeared from behind him.

As Devastator stood in fear, Optimus Prime shot him with his rifle which caused the Constructicons to separate. The giant Autobot turned out to be a hologram generated by Hound.

Answer: lava

During the battle with the Constructicons, the Dinobots had exposed a river of lava near the volcano where Autobot Headquarters was located. Once Devastator was taken down by Optimus Prime, the rest of the Autobots began to open fire on the Decepticons and managed to knock them all into the lava stream. Optimus Prime got the final shot in on Megatron sending him to join the rest of his army.

Despite falling into lava, all the Decepticons survived the episode.
