Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Hidden Weapon sorcery is arguably the most tedious sorcery in the game to acquire. The player will have to join a covenant and then defeat thirty players in PvP combat at a very specific area as an invader. What covenant do they need to join?

Answer: Bell Keepers

When a member of this covenant, the player must then equip the Bell Keeper Seal, travel to the bridge right outside the Iron Keep, and wait. The game will actively attempt to connect this player to the world of another player, but only if that other player steps into the Belfry Sol area and has a comparable Soul Memory stat.

The player will need to invade other players who come to this area and will need to emerge victorious thirty times in order to receive the Hidden Weapon sorcery. Depending on your skill in PvP and Soul Memory, this could take roughly an afternoon or it could take days, weeks, even months.
2. If you're in the mood for a little bit of chaos, you may feel inclined to activate a Dried Finger, which will prioritize your world to other players who are trying to invade and will allow a second invader to potentially show up, in exchange for allowing you to summon one additional cooperator. Unfortunately, unlike the rest of the franchise, the Dried Finger in this game isn't found until late game. Where can it be found?

Answer: Undead Crypt

Right after the second bonfire, simply progressing naturally and examining a hidden, particularly dark area down a ladder will eventually lead to the player finding this item in the open, lying idly about. The dark area in question isn't necessary to finish the area, so the player will need to take a detour as they travel through the crypt.
3. The Smelter Demon and Blue Smelter Demon share the same exact resistances and weaknesses, other than the former being basically immune to Fire and the latter Magic. This means they both have one weakness, being the same as one another. What is their weakness?

Answer: Dark

Being both animated suits of armor, they cannot be poisoned nor bled. They are both neutral to Lightning but weak to Dark. Hex builds are therefore in a very good position to capitalize on this.
4. Exclusive to himself, when defeating Sir Alonne, he has a unique death animation that involves him stabbing himself in the stomach with his sword. However, he only does this if he is defeated in a very specific way. What condition must be met to witness this unique death animation?

Answer: Win without taking a hit

If the player defeats Sir Alonne without taking a single hit from him, they'll get to see this unique death animation. Otherwise, it will simply be Sir Alonne falling to the floor in defeat.
5. When exploring Shulva Sanctum City, the player will eventually come upon two whole rooms containing three treasure chests each which have been opened and have nothing in them. No, you aren't losing your marbles, you didn't already come to this room, it would seem someone has already looted this chest. The player can fight this 'someone' as a boss. Who took this treasure?

Answer: None of these

Varg the Ancient Soldier, Cerah the Old Explorer and the Afflicted Graverobber is a three on one boss fight which can be found in the Cave of the Dead. When defeating them, they drop a myriad of upgrade materials and a lot of souls. As we later learn, per the game's lore, these items were inside of the empty treasure chests found in Shulva.
6. The fight with Fume Knight is hard enough as is, but it gets even harder when realizing just how limited opportunities for respite are, to heal, to apply a buff or even just to get a simple breather from his relentless assaults. If attempting to drink an Estus Flask, what will Fume Knight do if he isn't locked into an animation?

Answer: Interrupt the player

Fume Knight's AI is designed to consistently interrupt any effort on the player's end to heal. If the player so much as even presses a button to heal, be it use an Estus Flask, a Life Gem or cast a spell which heals, Fume Knight will either jump or lunge with his sword at blinding speed. Given how short and congested the boss room is, this will always lead to the player getting hit before getting off the heal.

The player must restrict healing opportunities to when Fume Knight is locked into an animation, mainly right after dodging an attack from him.
7. Elana the Squalid Queen is well known for her ability to constantly summon her own help, turning the tables on the player who can do this to other bosses. Which of the following is one type of enemy Elana can summon for assistance?

Answer: Pigs

Elana will randomly summon Velstadt the Royal Aegis, a group of skeletons, or a group of small pigs. These are the same pigs which can be found by Cale's home in Majula. They are easily the least threatening of Elana's three options, as well as being the rarest for her to summon.
8. Going to New Game Plus and attempting another playthrough of the game, the player will find some boss fights don't just get buffed stats to make them harder. Some bosses actually have new mechanics, a new moveset or additional helpers when fought in this way. Which of the following is an example of such a boss?

Answer: Lost Sinner

When fighting Lost Sinner on NG+ and beyond, she will be assisted by two Red Phantoms wielding Pyromancy spells. The Flexile Sentry is the only other boss who gains help like this on NG+ and beyond.
9. If on New Game Plus 2, the player may not realize it, but Drangleic Castle will be changed quite considerably. Chancellor Wellager, a merchant in the area, will have some new, powerful goodies he can give to the player. Which of the following does he sell that is newly unlocked at NG+2?

Answer: Wrath of the Gods

Wrath of the Gods is basically a massively amped up version of Emit Force, actually dealing good damage and knocking foes back by a considerable distance. It's cast speed is reasonable, though it has limited uses and takes up two whole spell slots.
10. The Looking Glass Knight boss can potentially summon a real life player to help it fight the player challenging it. The real life player is subject to a handful of different rules when fighting alongside the Looking Glass Knight. Which of the following is true for this summoned assailant?

Answer: They can heal Looking Glass Knight

If the Looking Glass Knight just so happens to summon a player with healing Miracles, the host is going to be in a pretty dire predicament. They'll be hard pressed to stop this player from healing themselves or the knight while also fending off the Looking Glass Knight's own assaults. Typically, players aren't able to heal anyone other than other allied players or themselves, so the fact that this is possible could be viewed as surprising.
