Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As the player travels around the Lands Between slaying Demi-Gods, they may notice one thing- all but one of them leave behind evidence that they've been slain, such as their corpse or a change to their boss room's aesthetic. There is one exception to this rule. Upon defeat, who is the only Demi-God to not result in some kind of change to their boss room?

Answer: Mohg, Lord of Blood

When Morgott is defeated, he will simply fall where he stands and be laying right there on the floor, in his last dying moments. After the fight, the player can walk to him and hear a few lines of dialogue from him before he finally dies.

After defeating Rykard and reloading the area, the player will find various disembodied body parts of the God-Devouring Serpent lying around the area. Much more notably, they'll find Volcano Manor proprietress Tanith kneeling by his disembodied head, gorging herself on his innards to try and somehow resuscitate him through her. If the player happened to attack Tanith here, they'll immediately be invaded by Tanith's Knight, which is just a regular Crucible Knight with a different name and slightly different color palette.

When Malenia is defeated and the player reloads the area, a massive scarlet rot flower will be found in the center of the room, evidence of Malenia having 'bloomed' during her fight with the player.

Finally, Mohg leaves absolutely nothing behind when killed. This was possibly intentional, as his fade-out dialogue seems to imply that the Mohgwyn Dynasty is on the rise as he speaks. However, this could also have just been Mohg rambling deliriously in his last dying moments, and as this is the last he'd be seen throughout the game, it would go on to mean nothing in the end.
2. Morgott the Omen King is referred to very simply as "Morgott the Omen King" by the game. When introducing himself, however, "the Omen King" is not the title Morgott uses. What does Morgott introduce himself as?

Answer: Last of All Kings

Specifically, Morgott will say:

"Have it writ upon thy meager grave- felled by King Morgott, Last of All Kings!"

This is said right before his pre-fight cutscene finishes. The title likely stems from the fact that Morgott is the only Demi-God who did not abandon the Golden Order following the Shattering of the Elden Ring. His brethren branched out to gather as much power as they could for themselves.
3. When finishing Sorceress Sellen's questline and reloading the Raya Lucaria Academy area, the player will abruptly find that she has taken on some horrible transformation, and is no longer human. What monstrosity has Sellen turned into?

Answer: Graven Mass

When the player looks at Sellen before reloading the area, she will be standing in the center of Rennala, Aueen of the Full Moon's boss fight, looking and acting proud and triumphant following her and the player's victory in combat over Witch-Hunter Jerren. The simple act of reloading the area will see Rennala return to her spot in the center of the room, as Sellen has been shifted off to the side of Rennala in her transformed state.

A Graven Mass is a rarely seen enemy which is basically a floating circular entity with several faces on it. In this particular case, one of the faces on the front is that of Sellen's. When speaking to her in this form, she unsurprisingly sounds highly uncomfortable as well as quite ashamed at her new appearance. Sadly, there is no way to help Sellen in this form, and the player will be forced to leave her to languish in this form for the rest of the playthrough.
4. At the beginning of his questline, Preceptor Seluvis will ask the player to get Nepheli Loux to drink a potion he has concocted. The player could instead take the potion to Sir Gideon Ofnir, who will see the potion and remind the player of the Roundtable Hold's moral code. When telling the player this, which rule does Gideon say the player would be breaking by competing this task?

Answer: There are no rules

Gideon specifically says "The Roundtable Hold has no code to speak of" as a way of saying Gideon wouldn't try and stop the player from doing as Seluvis asked or punish them for doing so. He will later offer to take care of the potion himself should the player desire it, and will dispose of it if they take him up on it.
5. If the player wants to finish Dung Eater's questline, they'll unfortunately have to make a sacrifice. Completing Dung Eater's questline involves allowing him to murder an NPC who is allied to the player. Who must Dung Eater kill in this regard?

Answer: Blackguard Braggart

The player will need to do Dung Eater's questline up to the point where they've freed him from his cell in the Leyndell sewer. After this is done, they must progress Braggart's questline up to the point where he will travel to a moat outside of Leyndell.

Here, the player must talk to him and enter unique dialogue where Braggart expresses his concern that Dung Eater is a cold blooded killer, and lurks close to him and the player as he speaks. After Braggart says this, reloading the area will find him laying on the ground in a pool of blood.

Here, he will try to ask the player to put him out of his misery, but he will die before he can finish speaking his request. After this happens, the player will then be invaded by Dung Eater.
6. Patches is a fan favorite NPC who would be a mainstay in the franchise from 2009 right up to "Elden Ring". Here, he gets some unique character development, to the point of even developing a romantic interest. Who is Patches attracted to in this way?

Answer: Tanith, Volcano Manor Proprietress

Patches' questline will involve him eventually going to the Volcano Manor, meeting Tanith, and presumably falling in love with her here. He will constantly talk to the player about Tanith and, at the end of his questline when he's lying on the floor, dying, his last wishes involve the player taking a set of Dancer's Castanets to Tanith from him so that she could be happy.

Unfortunately, Tanith would be in the middle of eating Rykard's innards when Patches does this, and isn't interested in this item in the slightest. Looks like Patches is going to have to spend "Elden Ring" stuck in the friend zone.
7. Status became a big deal in "Elden Ring", and this would partially be the main source of difficulty for the boss fight with Godfrey, First Elden Lord at the Elden Throne. Godfrey resists all forms of status, but he isn't impenetrable, as he does have a physically based weakness. What is Godfrey weak to?

Answer: Slashing

For this reason, katanas are still a good idea, even though the majority of them inflict status Godfrey will not be easy to afflict with. As well, curved swords, certain straight swords and halberds will be good picks for this fight as well, given that they deal Slashing damage.

It should be noted that Godfrey's weakness to Slashing increases slightly when he enters second phase and turns into Hoarah Loux, Warrior.
8. The Bolt of Gransaxx the perfect instance of an item being hidden in plain sight. The player will locate it hidden on top of a statue, which will be fairly ironic considering what the statue is made of. What does this statue portray?

Answer: A Bolt of Gransaxx

The statue is just a much larger version of the very weapon itself. In spite of this, a player who doesn't know offhand that the weapon is here could have trouble finding it. The statue is positioned towards the northernmost end of Leyndell, where natural progression would not guide the player towards.

The player will need to go out of their way to find it. At the very least, it should be easy to remember this for future playthroughs, considering the item is hidden atop a large statue version of itself.
9. Sir Gideon Ofnir the All-Knowing becomes a surprise boss fight towards the end of the game. As well, he is exclusive for being the only boss in the entire game weak to a certain status effect. What is this?

Answer: Madness

Many, many bosses across the game are weak to Frostbite, Blood Loss or in some cases, both. Because Gideon is Tarnished like the player, he is susceptible to Madness. Resistance to Madness is governed by Endurance, and because Gideon's armor is light, he doesn't wield heavy weaponry, and he is a hybrid spellcaster using some very expensive spells on both Intelligence and Faith, it's safe to assume he has not 'leveled up' Endurance a lot.

As a result, Gideon is the only boss in the game who is weak to Madness.
10. While riding Torrent, it's possible for Torrent to take too much damage and "die". However, he can be 'resurrected' and be available for the player again at a cost. What must the player consume to bring back Torrent?

Answer: Flask of Crimson Tears

If the player is out of these flasks, unfortunately they'll have to deal with Torrent being permanently unavailable until the next time the player rests at a site of grace or gets more. Stocking up on Rowa Fruits would be wise to avoid this, as feeding these to Torrent will replenish his health moderately.
