Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the gatefront into Stormveil grounds, the player can find a free weapon waiting for them inside of a destroyed enemy chariot. What weapon is this?

Answer: Lordsworn Greatsword

The Lordsworn Greatsword is an average, unremarkable and entirely generic greatsword. It is the first Strength scaling weapon the player can loot.
2. As the player advances into Stormveil grounds, they'll eventually meet Roderika. Roderika will give the player a spirit summon if they exhaust her dialogue. What spirit is it?

Answer: Jellyfish

The Jellyfish is about as good as you'd expect for a starter spirit. It can potentially be quite helpful if the player can protect it for long enough, as it can poison pretty much anything in about three hits. The issues are that it's fragile, attacks tremendously slow and recovers from being hit even more slowly.
3. The player will eventually encounter a boss which is mandatory if they want to advance into the castle building itself. Margit the Fell Omen proves a very potent early game boss, with a massive arsenal of different weapons. What is one of the many weapons Margit uses?

Answer: Giant Crusher

This was clearly modified to suit an early game boss, as the player version of this weapon demands a massive 60 Strength, sealing it off until the very end game. In addition to the Giant Crusher, Margit wields his stoned Cursed Blade, the Blade of Calling and the Partizan.
4. For the first encounter with Margit the Fell Omen, he will use two radiant weapons- one of them coming out once he transitions to second phase, the other available all fight. It is a small holy dagger. As it happens, the player can acquire the very same dagger, just sized down to fit their character. What dagger is this?

Answer: Erdsteel Dagger

Unfortunately, the Erdsteel Dagger is a generic, unimposing dagger with little to speak of for distinguishing properties, apart from being Margit's weapon of choice. It carries the same curse of having virtually no range like other daggers, though it lacks the Destined Death effect that makes the Black Knife a standout pick, the status effects of the Scorpion Stinger or Reduvia, or the general utility of the Blade of Calling.
5. When defeating Margit, it turns out that this was actually just a spectral form of him. The 'real deal' will quickly communicate with the player using telepathy after the fight. He informs the player he won't forget them, then warns them to "cower in fear of the night, the Hands of the Fell Omen shall brook thee no quarter." Who are the "Hands of the Fell Omen"?

Answer: Night's Cavalry

It turns out 'cower in fear of the night' was meant to be taken quite literally. Once the time of day becomes Night or Late Night, the Night's Cavalry will spawn all across the world of the game in a series of specific places. The highest level ones appear at the Consecrated Snowfield, scaled for end game, and will gank the player. Singular members of the cavalry appear in Limgrave, Liurnia of the Lakes, the Altus Plateau, Caelid and Mt Gelmir.

Although Margit is indeed the 'captain' of the cavalry, defeating him is not needed in order to encounter the Night's Cavalry. In fact, the player doesn't even have to encounter him. The only conditions to fight the Night's Cavalry are to get in the correct place where they spawn, then wait for night to fall.
6. After dealing with Margit, the player can finally get right up to the front entrance of Stormveil Castle. They are warned against this by a stranger, who offers them a safer, more subtle route. This stranger seems benevolent, but he is very sneaky. If left alive, what does he do?

Answer: Steals a portion of all runes earned within Stormveil Castle

This stranger's name is Gostoc. As long as Gostoc is alive, the player earns 90% of the tunes they would otherwise earn while they are anywhere in Stormveil Castle. This includes killing Godrick the Grafted as well as using an item that would give the player runes, such as a consumable rune or a Remembrance.

Given that there is no beneficial reason to allow Gostoc to remain alive, the player is advised to simply kill him as soon as they can. As an added incentive, killing him grants him immediate access to his shop via his Bell Bearing, and his shop otherwise wouldn't open until completely clearing Stormveil Castle if left alive.
7. As the first legacy dungeon the player can access, there are a lot of Ashes of War here the player can loot and try their hand with. Which of the following is an example?

Answer: Stormcaller

Stormcaller is a potent Ash of War involving the user raising their weapon, swinging it three times and causing a moderately powerful tornado to surround them which gets stronger after each swing. The tornado doesn't actually do much damage, but it staggers quite effectively and allows the player to have a better chance at properly combo-ing the three swings.

After a brief delay, repeat inputs will prompt repeat usage of the maneuver until either stamina or FP runs out.
8. A really curious player who thoroughly goes through the area might find a secret passage leading to a lot of parkour and ending in a Scarab hunt. Upon destroying this very elusive Scarab, what will the player be rewarded with?

Answer: Rancorcall

Rancorcall is one of just six Death sorceries in the game. When using it, six big white fireballs will pursue their target.
9. The player will eventually come upon a small Barracks building, and they will get a likely chance at revenge here- they'll encounter the tutorial boss of the game in the form of a mini boss here. What enemy fights the player in that regard here?

Answer: Grafted Scion

Unofficially and informally, it is quite likely that around 99/100 players will lose to the Grafted Scion when reaching it during the tutorial. At this point, they don't even have any healing flasks much less the ability to level up or get new gear or weapons. That Grafted Scion, just like the one found here, is scaled for around a level 30 encounter and will probably destroy the player in the tutorial, but be a more than fair fight at Stormveil Castle.
10. Before reaching the boss, the player will encounter a horrifying mini boss who will appear repeatedly in the future. This large, angry and feral monster wields one huge curved sword. Who is it?

Answer: Omen

The Omen is big, hits hard, takes hits like nothing and will most likely kill an appropriately-levelled character in two or even one hit easily. Its biggest weakness is having terrible poise which can be exploited by jumping heavy attacks, leading to frequent ripostes and major damage done. Doing this is easier said than done however, as the player is fully vulnerable to being hit as they go for such a jumping heavy attack.
11. There is an NPC summon available to fight Godrick the Grafted. Who is it?

Answer: Nepheli Loux, Warrior

Nepheli must be found inside the Stormveil library and her dialogue must be exhausted to be able to summon her. She wields the Stormhawk Axe in combat.
12. The man himself, Godrick the Grafted will repeatedly claim himself as 'the lord of all that is ______'. Can you correctly fill in the blank?

Answer: golden

He will say this during his opening cinematic, again during his second phase cinematic and once more in his dying moments. Godrick is not actually a formal lord of anything golden.
13. During his second phase cinematic, Godrick will grotesquely dismember his own hand with his axe, then attach the head of a very powerful creature to the arm and weaponize it. What creature does Godrick graft to his arm?

Answer: Dragon

This predictably changes Godrick's moveset entering phase 2 by quite a lot. In fact, he will almost never use any of his phase 1 attacks saving those which phase 2 buffed with fire. Notably, Godrick gains a grab attack and, combined with his constant ability to deal Fire damage, means that his second phase is significantly more challenging for greatshield users than his first.
14. When defeating Godrick, his dying words involve him issuing a promise- that one day, he will return to his home, bathed in what?

Answer: Rays of gold

Godrick's affinity for gold is never really clarified on, as fighting him doesn't involve him using any golden attacks or weapons, and there is no significant golden aesthetic anywhere within Stormveil Castle. As such, it's difficult to interpret what he means by 'rays of gold' as the lore doesn't provide much content for this either.
15. Godrick's Remembrance can be brought to Finger Reader Enia and exchanged for one of two weapons. The first is the grafted weapon Godrick uses, sized down to fit the player. The second is his main hand weapon. What is it?

Answer: Axe

The Axe of Godrick has moderate Strength and minor Dexterity requirements to wield. It deals fairly regular damage for a Greataxe and has the same moveset as a generic Greataxe, apart from its Ash of War. Godrick's signature I Command Thee Kneel! tactic is the axe's Ash of War, enabling the player to simply replicate the attack, sized down appropriately for a player. With low FP cost and excellent damage output, its drawbacks are being somewhat cumbersome to use and having limited range.
