Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Starscourge Radahn, the man himself, is an awe-inspiring force to be reckoned with on the battlefield with heavy armor and weaponry. Like everyone, however, he does have one weakness the player can exploit. What is Radahn weak to?

Answer: Scarlet Rot

As it would happen, the very area the festival is taking place in, Caelid, is a land covered in Scarlet Rot as a result of the War of Shattering. Unsurprisingly, this gives the player a myriad of Scarlet Rot options they can take to give themselves an edge for this fight.
2. If the player were to begin their playthrough of the game and immediately go towards the site of the festival, they'd find it desolate, no festival to be found. They must do one of two different things in order to trigger the festival taking place. Which of the following is one of those things?

Answer: Reach the Altus Plateau

This was likely more of a gameplay decision on From Software's end than anything to do with the game's lore or story. Once the player reaches the Altus Plateau, they'll be at just the right level area to properly fight Radahn without being over or under equipped.
3. You know that the festival is going to be engaging when the simple act of even getting to it is convoluted. Where is the site of the Radahn Festival?

Answer: Redmane Castle

Redmane Castle is located on the south eastern part of Caelid, the farthest possible point from the player. Even if the player knows exactly where to go, it will still require minutes of traveling due to how far it is. If the player doesn't know their way so well, then the journey will become quite dangerous, as Caelid is home to a series of very threatening monsters, Radahn's soldiers and overworld bosses.
4. The person organizing the festival is actually someone who will also take up a sword during the fight as well and help the player fight Radahn. Who has organized the Radahn Festival?

Answer: Castellan Jerren

When summoned, Jerren will wield a Flamberge and a Fire Dagger in his off-hand. He deals good damage, but will die to Radahn very quickly and require the player to constantly resummon him.
5. Blaidd the Half-Wolf is a notable NPC the player can summon for this fight. He wields a very rare weapon, a weapon with big requirements in both Strength and Intelligence. What weapon is this?

Answer: Royal Greatsword

Blaidd's signature weapon, the Royal Greatsword deals split physical and magic damage and comes with its own unique Ash of War, Wolf Assault. When Wolf Assault is used, the user will jump up high and slam down upon the target area with the sword, causing a large magical explosion.

Blaidd himself is the tankiest NPC summon for this fight. Through use of his Royal Greatsword, he does strong damage as well. He is arguably the most generally useful summonable NPC in this fight.
6. Oddly enough, the player can unlock two gestures from NPCs summoned from this fight. One of the gestures can only be earned from interacting with this NPC during the festival, who can later help the player during the fight. Who is this?

Answer: Finger Maiden Therolina

Therolina is without question the most bizarre NPC involved in this festival. Every other NPC has a very clear narrative reason for being here, but Therolina does not have such clear purpose. The 'Polite Bow' gesture can be earned either from speaking to her before the fight, or it is earned the first time the player summons her during the fight.

Therolina is unique for being the only summonable NPC to not actually attack Radahn at all. When summoned, she will rush to wherever the player happens to be and stay near them. She is a healer, and if the player ends up low on health, she will heal them. Bizarrely, if an NPC or a real person the player has summoned end up low on health, she will leave the player even if the player is also low to go and heal the other person in question.
7. A follower of Deathbride Fia, this summonable NPC wields a Tower Shield and will cast death magic sorceries, such as Rancorcall, against Radahn. Who is this?

Answer: Lionel the Lionhearted

Lionel is a fairly below average NPC in this one. He takes hits quite well thanks to his shield, but his damage output is lacklustre due to how generally poor death magic is in "Elden Ring". Having decent survivability can be quite useful if the player is low on summonable NPCs, as he can potentially hold the line and keep Radahn busy while the player opts to get their reinforcements back.
8. This NPC will actually show up later in the game to attack the player as an invader. Here, he wields the well renowned Rivers of Blood katana. Who is he?

Answer: Okina

Despite wielding such a powerful weapon, Okina is a very poor combatant in this fight. His damage output is oddly low while he dies to Radahn almost immediately. The most useful thing he will typically do is simply be a warm body that will briefly distract Radahn for everyone else.
9. Alexander the Warrior Jar is a possible NPC summon for this fight. However, he is the only character for whom the player must interact with in order for him to attend the festival at all. Where must the player interact with him to get him to go to the festival?

Answer: Gael Tunnel

The Gael Tunnel can be found very far to the west of Caelid. It's a very long dungeon, so big that it actually connects into the eastern front of Limgrave and can be accessed from there as well. The player will need to reach the end of the tunnel and unlock the door barring Alexander from entry. Once done, speaking with him will cause him to tell the player that he intends to attend the festival.
10. Patches the Untethered has the least amount of impact in this fight. His presence is basically nonexistent. Why is this?

Answer: He immediately leaves once summoned

When summoned, Patches will walk a few steps forward, hold up his greatshield and will just meander in place for a few moments. After doing this, he will use his Finger Severer to leave the fight. After this, he cannot be summoned anymore.
11. This NPC summon for this fight should actually be a familiar one, as he has been available for two other fights. The player will recognize him by his choice of particularly large weaponry. Who is this?

Answer: Great-Horned Tragoth

Tragoth wields the Giant Crusher along with a Fingerprint Stone Shield, the largest melee weapon and greatshield in the game, respectively. If this is the player's first time summoning him, he will give the player the 'Casual Greeting' gesture. It is worth noting that if the player has killed Tragoth before this point, he will unsurprisingly not attend the festival.
12. When the actual fight kicks off, it becomes quite clear Radahn is ready to roll. What will he do immediately as the fight starts?

Answer: Shoot the player with greatarrows

From the moment the player enters the boss arena, Radahn will start shooting greatarrows from an extremely long range at them. These arrows are the size of rockets, travel about as fast and hit about as hard. He will simply continue to do this until someone, the player or one of their allies, gets within Radahn's melee range. Once this is done, the bow permanently is put away, Radahn takes out his two greatswords and the fight really gets underway.
13. Radahn has a 'second phase', but the way in which he activates his second phase is through the use of a beautiful albeit lethal cinematic. What does Radahn do here?

Answer: Enter outer space, turn into a meteor and crash down on the battlefield

Once he reaches half his health, Radahn will finish any animation he was in the middle of. After doing so, he will raise his swords, smash them on the ground to his sides, raise and clash them together, lean down towards whoever he is targeting and roar before he jumps. He jumps high enough to leave the battlefield entirely, and the soundtrack will pause as well. Shortly after, a small tremor will occur and the meteor Radahn has turned into will become visible. It will inch closer and closer to the battlefield before crashing into the ground and causing a massive explosion.

The explosion is designed to always kill the player in one hit regardless of their level, defensive stats or any ongoing defensive buffs. It will not automatically kill any allied NPCs however, and they can possibly survive the blast if they were very healthy prior to taking the blow. As such, the player absolutely has to get out of the way of the blast.
14. Interestingly, despite Radahn standing at a colossal 20-feet high in height, he is seen riding a horse which is similar in size to the player's horse. The game's lore actually clarifies how Radahn can do this without killing or hurting his trusty steed. How did Radahn achieve this?

Answer: Learning gravity magic

Radahn's use of gravity magic was specifically causing him to become light as a feather, making it easy for his horse to carry him around. Given the language of the lore combined with the absurdity of such a massive man riding such a small horse, it can be safely concluded that Radahn probably had sentimental feelings towards this horse and endeavored to be able to keep using his horse despite his massive size.

Unofficially, according to data mining, Radahn's horse is named Leonard.
15. The reward for defeating Radahn is the Remembrance of the Starscourge. This can be brought to Finger Reader Enia and exchanged for one of two weapons. One of the weapons is a simplified version of Radahn's dual greatswords. What is the other option?

Answer: A greatbow

If the Starscourge Greatsword is not to the player's liking, perhaps the Lion Greatbow will be. When using this bow to fire Radahn Spears, the spears turn into a projectile that mimics the rocket-like shots Radahn fired at the player at the beginning of his fight. Between this and the amazing Starscourge Greatsword, this is a very good, very useful reward that any player with any build can utilize well.
