Trevor Philips owns a Canis Bodhi pickup truck which is reddish orange in its default colors. The Canis Bodhi is primarily based on an old Kaiser Jeep M715. Trevor will later acquire his own Maibatsu Frogger helicopter in the mission "Three's Company". After completing the game's main storyline, Trevor will also receive a Nagasaki Hot Rod Blazer ATV (if he's still alive).

Normally Trevor's trailer looks like a bomb hit the place, with food, clothes and trash thrown about. Towards the end of the game, Trevor will acquire the Vanilla Unicorn strip club in the Los Santos neighborhood of Strawberry, which he can use as a safehouse.

In the case of Trevor, he has the ability to become enraged, which makes him nearly invulnerable (though he can still die if a player is too reckless). In the middle of the game, when Michael's family walks out on him, he is forced to rent a Declasse Premier compact sedan.

Michael DeSanta has regular missions (sessions) involving a therapist named Dr. Isiah Friedlander, who attempts to make Michael talk about his troubled past and family issues (within the time allotted of course). Later in the game, Dr. Friedlander betrays Michael's trust and the player will be given the choice of either killing him or allowing him to escape.

Michael DeSanta's original surname was Townley. He was forced to change his surname after tipping off the FIB agents, so that he would be able to retire from a life of crime. Michael would be forced out of retirement after he became indebted to drug kingpin named Martin Madrazo.

He and Franklin rob a jewelry store in Los Santos, which tips off Trevor to his former colleague's whereabouts.

Michael has the special ability to temporarily slow down time while shooting allowing him to have better accuracy. Michael can refill his special ability meter faster by killing enemies with headshots. Michael can also boost his ability meter by using stealth tactics.

In the early part of "Grand Theft Auto V", Franklin Clinton and his best friend Lamar Davis both work for car salesman Simeon Yetarian as repo men. Franklin's first mission of the game has him and Lamar repossessing two sports cars, which they then race each other in. Franklin was later made "Employee of The Month", which made Lamar jealous.

Franklin drove a white Bravado Buffalo S as his first car in "Grand Theft Auto V". The Bravado Buffalo is a sporty sedan that is primarily based on the Dodge Charger. Franklin would later acquire a green Western Bagger motorcycle from Lamar, who kept the bike following a botched repossession job.

Early in the game, Franklin Clinton lived with his feministic aunt in the neighborhood of Strawberry which is located in southern Los Santos. Lamar Davis lives only a few houses down from Franklin's aunt. After completing several jobs for Lester Crest, Franklin will be gifted a large house up in Rockford Hills, which will serve as his safe house for the remainder of the game.

Chop is a rottweiler who was initially owned by Lamar Davis. During several missions, the player can take control of Chop, who can track down and attack fleeing enemies. Players can also play fetch with the dog when not in a mission. Lamar will eventually request for Chop to move in with Franklin after he acquires his home in Rockford Hills.

Franklin has the ability to temporarily slow down time as he's driving. This allows him to maneuver a vehicle around tight corners and dodge traffic easier, which makes him a superb getaway driver. Franklin can recharge his power by simply driving around. He can speed things up by performing stunts such as drifting or dodging other cars on the opposite site of the road.
