"Klasztor" (Latin "claustrum") is a monastery. "Kosciol" is a church and when you are looking for a castle 'zamek' is what you need. "Szkola" is a school.
2. What does 'Gora' mean in a name such as Jasna Gora?

Answer: Mountain

Jezioro would be a lake. Most is a bridge. Think of the famous Karlov Most in Prague. Wyspa is an island. Wzgorze is a hill.

Answer: Chleb

"Szynka" (German "Schinken") is ham. "Winogrona" refers to grapes. "Samochod" is a car. "Chleb" is bread and is what the "piekarz" bakes for you.

A "mleczny bar" is a milk bar. You also find dairy food here, cereals, veggies. "Kawiarna" is a cafe where coffee comes first. Tea (herbata) is possible too, and if you eat a light snack, they might sell you drinks as well. "Winiarnia" of course is a wine vault.

But in a "piwiarnia," "piwo" or beer will be what they expect you to order. No meals in a piwiarnia or winiarmia. Drinking is what they are for. By the way in case you are looking for a Rob Roy or a martini dry, do not go to a cocktail bar because there they might offer you a milkshake.
