Born Eric Banadinovich (his father was Croatian) he comes from Melbourne, Victoria and began his 'career' as a comedian and has no formal acting training!

Guy Edward Pearce was born in England and moved to Australia when he was three years of age and lived in Geelong in Victoria. He began his acting career on Australian television in the long-running 'soapie', 'Neighbours'!
