Answer: March 14, 1975

Susan Hayward passed away in her Hollywood home. Per her request, Hayward was laid to rest in the grave adjacent to that of her husband Eaton Chalkley in Carrollton, Georgia where the two had lived happily before his sudden death. After her death, it was discovered that a large number of actors and film personnel who'd worked on "The Conqueror" in St. George, Utah, had died of cancer, as she did; the site's proximity to atomic bomb testing was certain, but nothing ever proven.
10. My favorite Susan Hayward film is the one where she portrayed a fashion designer by the name of Rae Smith. What's the name of this 1961 movie co-starring John Gavin?

Answer: Back Street

This was a tearjerker for sure. The on screen chemistry between John Gavin and Hayward was very touching. Get your hanky; it's a chick flick. If you'll notice, the color purple is prominently seen in many scenes.
You'll see other actors you recognize such as Hayden Rorke (Dr. Bellows of "I Dream of Jeannie") and Natalie Schafer (Lovey Howell of "Gilligan's Island", both times dressed in purple).

I hope you enjoyed my quiz.
