Answer: FBI agent

Clarice Starling, portrayed by Jodie Foster, is an FBI agent sent to interview cannibal and prisoner Hannibal Lector (Anthony Hopkins) in the hopes of learning more about a notorious at large serial killer named Buffalo Bill. In the first film, "Silence of the Lambs", Clarice is an FBI student but progresses in her career as the films continue.
