Answer: The River Seine

The River Seine rises at Source Seine, near Dijon in France before flowing into the English Channel at Le Havre and Honfleur. In Paris, the Notre Dame Cathedral is built upon the Isle de Notre Dame in the River Seine. In Paris 37 bridges cross the River Seine, with the most famous being the Pont Louis-Phillipe and the Pont Neuf.

The River Thames rises at Thames Head, near Kemble in the county of Gloucestershire, and flows into the Thames Estuary, between Southend-on-Sea in Essex and the north Kent coast.

The River Danube rises near Donaueschingen in the Black Forest region of Germany before forming the Danube Delta on the Romanian/Ukraine borders as it flows into the Black Sea. The Rive Danube use to form part of the borders of the ancient Roman Empire and flows through the capital cities of Vienna (Austria), Bratislava (Slovakia), Budapest (Hungary) and Belgrade (Serbia).

The River Tagus rises across the border of Portugal in Spain, before flowing into the Atlantic Ocean. There are currently two bridges on the River Tagus at Lisbon. The 25 de Abril bridge (originally named the Salazar Bridge), named after the date of the Carnation Revolution which took place in Portugal in 1974. The other bridge is the Vasco da Gama, named after Vasco da Gama, one of the great, early Portuguese explorers.

Rising in the Guadarrama Mountain, the Manzanares River is 52 miles (83 km) long. After passing through Madrid, the Manzanares flows on until it joins the Jarama River.
