Of course "Traders & Barbarians" is one. "Fishermen" and "Rivers" are both in T&B, even though previous scenarios with these names have been published; the versions in T&B are significantly enhanced from previously published versions.

2. Which of the following is not a type of token that comes with the Traders & Barbarians game?

Answer: Ships

Ships come with Seafarers of Catan, but not with Traders & Barbarians. Knights are used in "Barbarian Attack". Camels are used in "The Caravans". Wagons are used in "Traders & Barbarians".

Before this version, a couple who wanted to play had to either make up their own rules or play the card game.

In addition to the two players, there are two neutral parties. Whenever a road or a settlement is built by one of the players, they place a road or (if possible) a settlement for one of the neutral parties. The neutral parties can even get the Longest Road prize!

It is, in fact, an old boot. If you have the misfortune to draw the old boot, it increases by one the number of victory points you need to win the game. The good news, though, is that you're not stuck with it; you can give it to someone else who has the same or more victory points than you.

There are 36 event cards, and they have all the combinations that a pair of dice can generate. There is a "New Year" card also, so you don't go through the entire deck before restarting, but the idea is that the distribution of "rolls" will be more like what is expected (even if it is therefore less random).

Having a city along a trade caravan is worth a bonus victory point, so such a city is worth three victory points.
The Harbormaster is worth two VPs. The fifth (and final) Baggage Train Card is worth one VP. The Wealthiest Settler tile is also worth one VP.

9. How many terrain hexes are replaced by river hexes in "The Rivers of Catan" variant?

Answer: 7

There are a total of seven river hexes (one river is three hexes long, while the other is four hexes). The game comes with bridges that you use to build roads over the rivers.

10. Which one of the scenarios included in Traders & Barbarians has its own special set of Development Cards to replace the ones included in the basic Settlers of Catan game?

Answer: Barbarian Attack

Barbarian Attack requires the use of 26 new Development Cards.
"The Goldsmiths of Catan" doesn't exist. The other two variants listed do use the Development Cards from the basic game.
