Many movies have been made about the tragic sinking of the Titanic on April 10, 1912. The tragedy is true, but this work by James Cameron is fiction, centering around "The Heart of the Ocean" sapphire necklace that was supposedly lost when the Titanic sunk. The narrator and old woman portrayed in the scene is Rose Dawson (Gloria Stuart), who survived and kept the necklace all those years until the end of the movie when she very quietly drops the necklace back into the ocean.

Answer: The Way We Were

"The Way We Were" was nominated for five Academy Awards, and won the Oscars for Best Original Score and Best Original Song. Though panned by many respected film critics, the movie nonetheless enjoyed great box office success. Released in 1973, "The Way We Were" is considered by many to be a modern-day classic.

The movie tells the Bible story of Moses, who will lead the Israelites from captivity in Egypt, from his birth, to the ten plagues, to the Passover, to the parting of the Red Sea and to the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai. When Moses returns from the mountain with the Ten Commandment written in stone, his people have built an idol and are engaged in a drunken riotous party. This is when he throws the tablets at the calf. The movie ends shortly after this with Moses handing power over to Joshua.
