This is one of the first few scenes. Hermione has made a decision to remove her parents' memories, making them forget her. She has decided to help Harry destroy Voldemort's horcruxes, a very dangerous task. She only removes their memory as a safety precaution; so if Voldemort finds out Hermione is helping Harry, her parents won't be in danger. We don't actually see this scene in the book, only hear Hermione telling the tale.

After the Death Eaters' attack at Bill and Fleur's wedding, Harry, Ron and Hermione are forced to disapparate away from the chaos. After they apparate, Hermione is upset and says Harry didn't have his cake that she and Ginny had planned.

Harry, Ron and Hermione stay at Grimmauld Place, Harry's godfather's old house. Harry discovers that Sirius's brother, Regulus Arcturus Black, is the mysterious R.A.B. Kreacher tells Harry that Regulus had the real horcrux locket but Mundungus Fletcher stole it from the house. Kreacher sets out to find Mundungus, bringing Dobby back as well. Mundungus tells Harry that Umbridge has the horcrux.

The trio plan to steal it back. To do this they have to break into the Ministry of Magic.

Answer: To stop it raining in his office

Harry, Ron and Hermione have broken into the Ministry disguised as other people, through Polyjuice Potion. Yaxley, a Death Eater, comes up to Ron (disguised as Reg) and tells him somebody put a hex on his office to make it rain. He wants Ron to stop it. Yaxley also tells Ron that his wife is down in the courtrooms for questioning. Ron then starts to panic, forgetting he's not actually married.

Hermione gives Ron a spell - Finite Incantatem - and Ron rushes off to try to stop it.

Answer: A tent in a forest

After disapparating from the Ministry, Ron is splinched. This is when a part of your body is separated from the rest, during apparition. Ron's arm gets splinched and Hermione frantically tries to heal it. She mends it successfully although he does have to wear a sling. Harry, Ron and Hermione try to break the horcrux that they successfully managed to steal, but don't have any luck.

They decide to wear it around their necks so they don't lose it.

After laying flowers on Harry's parents' grave, Harry and Hermione see an old lady watching them. She wants them to follow her, so they do. She brings them inside her house. Hermione stays downstairs looking at her pictures while Harry goes upstairs with her.

He believes Dumbledore has left Gryffindor's Sword with her. When they're upstairs, Bathilda transforms into Voldemort's snake and tries to kill him. Hermione comes to the rescue and they get away. Voldemort had planted his snake inside Bathilda's dead body because he knew Harry would come back to Godric's Hollow.

Answer: The Horcrux tries to strangle him.

Harry follows a patronus into the forest. It leads him to a pond covered in ice. Harry spots Gryffindor's Sword at the bottom and realises he'll have to jump in to get it. He leaves the Horcrux around his neck and jumps in. The Horcrux senses the Sword and tries to strangle Harry.

After a while someone jumps in and saves him, bringing the sword with them. It turns out that Ron has come back and he rescues Harry. Harry decides to let Ron do the honours and destroy the Horcrux. After Harry opens the locket up, a giant Harry and Hermione jump out and tease Ron.

They end up kissing and Ron gets so mad that he stabs the horcrux.

Answer: The Tale of the Three Brothers

Harry, Ron and Hermione visit Xenophilius Lovegood because they see a symbol and want to know what it means. After they're in his house he makes them tea and tells Hermione to read the Tale of the Three Brothers. It is a story of three brothers who try to defeat Death.

The Deathly Hallows are three items: The Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak. Together, they defeat Death. When drawn together they make the symbol Hermione keeps seeing. Xenophilius calls Death Eaters to his house then, and Harry, Ron and Hermione escape just in time.

He calls the Death Eaters because they have captured his daughter, Luna, and they'll give her back if Xenophilius gives them Harry Potter.

After the Snatchers capture the trio, they bring them to Malfoy Manor. They throw Harry and Ron in the basement, where Ollivander and Luna are. Upstairs Bellatrix sees that they have Gryffindor's Sword. It is supposed to be in her bank vault and she thinks they've stolen it.

She tortures Hermione. Downstairs, Dobby appears in the cellar. Ron tells him to bring Luna and Ollivander to Shell Cottage, Bill and Fleur's home. Wormtail then comes down the stairs to see what all the noise is. Dobby apparates on top of the stairs and knocks him out. Harry and Ron escape to save Hermione.

They see that Bellatrix has carved "Mudblood" into her arm. Harry, Ron, Hermione and Dobby escape, but not before Bellatrix throws a knife at Dobby, killing him.

Answer: Takes his wand

Voldemort breaks into Dumbledore's tomb. He cracks it open and we see Albus Dumbledore's corpse. Voldemort steals Dumbledore's wand and casts a curse in the sky. This will be very significant in "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2".
