Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In 'Kingsman: The Secret Service', what was Eggsy's connection with Kingsman before he began the training?

Answer: His dad was a member of Kingsman.

Eggsy's full name was Gary Unwin. He didn't know it, but his dad was a member of Kingsman. Lee Unwin had been recruited by Harry Hart (code-named Galahad), but while he was still a probationary agent, Eggsy's dad had sacrificed himself in order to protect Harry.

When Harry returned to London, he presented Lee's family with a medal and an emergency number. When Eggsy was arrested for stealing a car, he used the phone number to call for help.
2. What kind of business was the Kingsman service disguised as?

Answer: Tailor shop

Harry explained that the secret service began during World War I when the British upper classes realised they had wealth but no surviving heirs to pass it on to. They set up a service that worked for good and existed outside any government. The organisation was named after the tailor shop that provided their outfits.
3. There was some friction between Eggsy and the other Kingsman recruits. How was he different to the other candidates?

Answer: He was working class.

Eggsy underwent Kingsman training alongside a group of other young recruits. The other agents-in-training were sons and daughters of the British elite. Eggsy, on the other hand, came from a working class estate in London with little money to his name. He had trained for the Royal Marines, but dropped out before he qualified. Harry saw talent in Eggsy that the other recruits overlooked.
4. Richmond Valentine was a very wealthy, influential man. Which issue was he most concerned about?

Answer: Climate change

Richmond Valentine was an Internet billionaire who campaigned for causes he believed in and was the man behind many philanthropic gestures. In public, he appeared to be concerned about the environment. In reality, his ideas went past mere concern.
5. All of the Kingsman candidates had to choose a pet to look after. What did Eggsy choose?

Answer: A pug

The candidates were expected to train an animal. They were given the choice of puppy with each recruit picking a different breed of dog. Roxy chose the poodle because they were bred to be gun dogs and would be easy to train. Eggsy picked the pug, thinking it was a bulldog.
6. In 'Kingsman: The Secret Service', what was unique about Richmond Valentine's new SIM cards?

Answer: They caused people to become violent.

Richmond Valentine was concerned about the environment and the human race's impact on Earth. He had come up with a plan to 'cull' the human race. The billionaire gave away new SIM cards for free under the pretense that everyone should have access to phone and internet connectivity.

Valentine demonstrated the SIM cards' true power at a church belonging to a hate group. When activated, the SIM cards caused anyone within range to become murderously violent.
7. Which member of Kingsman had Valentine infiltrated?

Answer: Arthur

Eggsy noticed the scar on Arthur's neck which was caused by an implant Valentine had in each of his associates. Arthur tried to kill Eggsy, but Eggsy used his 'light fingers' to switch the brandy glasses. Eggsy took the evidence to Merlin and Roxy (a.k.a Lancelot). They had to work covertly because they didn't know if any other agents were under Valentine's control.

Each Kingsman agent used a code name referring to one of King Arthur's legendary knights. The Kingsman leader used the code name 'Arthur'.
8. How did Kingsman try to prevent Valentine's SIM cards from working?

Answer: Lancelot blew up one of the satellites.

With Arthur and Galahad dead, it was down to Eggsy, Merlin, and Roxy (a.k.a Lancelot) to prevent Valentine from killing most of the human race. Roxy used high-altitude balloons to destroy one of that satellites that made up Valentine's network. Unfortunately, the billionaire was able to use his business connections to gain control of another satellite.

There was only one thing that could stop the signal affecting the population: killing Valentine.
9. What was special about Valentine's sidekick?

Answer: She walked on prosthetic blades.

The assassin known as Gazelle walked on blades, but she did much more than that! Her metal prosthetic limbs were sharpened to a point, making her extremely deadly. She couldn't beat Eggsy, though. He managed to cut her with a poisoned knife in the sole of his shoe.
10. Which of these movie veterans did not play a role in 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'?

Answer: Nicole Kidman

Taron Egerton starred as Eggsy. Colin Firth, Michael Caine, and Sophie Cookson played three members of Kingsman: Galahad, Arthur, and Lancelot. Mark Strong played the Kingsman tech support, Merlin. Samuel L. Jackson played the Internet billionaire, Richmond Valentine.

'Kingsman: The Secret Service' was based on a graphic novel by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons. A sequel ('Kingsman: The Golden Circle') and a prequel ('The King's Man') have also been made.
