Answer: Friday the 13th Part 2

'Friday the 13th Part 2' is a 1981 release. In one of the film's scenes, the town sheriff sees someone running with a sack on his head, so he chases him into the woods. The mystery person (who is Jason Voorhees) is leading the sheriff out deeper and deeper, until he comes to an abandoned shack.

He goes inside to take a look... and is shocked at what he sees! Little does he know that Jason is coming up behind him with a hammer...

'The Burning' first takes place at Camp Blackfoot, then at Camp Stonewater five years later. A prank gone horribly wrong turns the camp caretaker named Cropsy into a vengeful killer. In one of the film's best and most dramatic scenes, the campers get on a raft and go out on the lake to look for their missing canoes.

They find one floating by itself and reach for it. Cropsy pops up from the canoe in which he is ducked down waiting for them and proceeds to slice them all up with his weapon of choice... his garden shears! The poor victims are left floating on the lake in a bloody heap!

Answer: Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror

Andrea Bianchi directs this 1981 zombie gem. In one of the film's most memorable scenes, a woman named Evelyn is looking for her son Michael (played by Peter Bark). By the time she and her friends find him, he is already transformed into one of the living dead. For some strange reason, Evelyn does not realize this when she sees him.

He calls out to her, so she goes to him and leaves herself extremely vulnerable to Michael's deadly bite! Without giving too much detail away, I will say that the viewer is treated to a very unusual zombie attack that you don't really see in the average zombie flick. Leave it to the Italian filmmakers to keep things interesting!

Answer: Stitches

A man named Richard is hired to dress as a clown named Stitches for an 11 year old's birthday party. When the kids tie his shoelaces together as a prank... the results are deadly! Richard falls onto a knife and is eventually killed. He comes back from the dead as Stitches to get revenge! This gruesome 2012 horror film has some very interesting scenes to say the least, but the one that truly stands out in my opinion is the one where one of the victims gets stabbed through the eye socket with an umbrella! Stitches then opens the umbrella... splattering blood everywhere! In another gory scene, Stitches opens up a guy's head with a can opener!

Answer: The Thing

This 1982 remake directed by John Carpenter is a real keeper! A group of men working in an American research station located in the Antarctic find a corpse, and perform an autopsy on it. Turns out it is infected with a strange parasite that is highly contagious! It quickly and quietly travels from one person to the next to use as a host.

When it is ready to show itself, it does so in the most horrific ways possible... hence the scene mentioned. The victim's head separates from his body and rolls away, quickly sprouts spider-like legs, then comes walking back into the room where the other men are.

They are shocked to say the least, and set it on fire.

Answer: Happy Birthday to Me

A high school senior named Virginia lost her memory due to a terrible accident that took the life of her mother years earlier. Now she has a new life with friends in a popular clique... but unfortunately someone is killing her friends off one by one in very interesting ways! One of the film's popular scenes is when Steve (played by Matt Craven) is stabbed through the head with a skewer while being fed a shish kabob. 'Happy Birthday to Me' is a 1981 Canadian horror slasher that stars Melissa Sue Anderson as Virginia.

Answer: The Video Dead

In this quirky 1987 zombie flick, a pair of siblings move into a new home that has a television set... but not just any television set! This set only has one channel that shows the same horror footage over and over of a group of zombies walking in a wooded area.

The previous owner of the house receives the TV for some unknown reason, and even after unplugging the set before going to sleep, the TV turns on by itself. One of the zombies stops walking, turns around and looks into the TV screen. The zombies then realize that they can escape into the real world by coming out through the TV.

Answer: Home Sweet Home

This 1981 horror slasher is one of the few that is set around Thanksgiving. It stars Jake Steinfeld as psychotic killer Jay Jones. At the beginning of the film, Jay escapes from a mental asylum in Los Angeles. He murders someone and takes their station wagon.

He speeds down the street and runs down a poor elderly woman in the process before heading out to a ranch where a group of family and friends are gathering for a Thanksgiving celebration. This film is actually pretty hilarious as far as cheesiness goes!

Answer: The Incredible Melting Man

'The Incredible Melting Man' is a forgotten B-horror/sci-fi gem from the year 1977. An American astronaut named Steve West is the only survivor from a mission to Saturn. The rest of his crew are killed by a radiation explosion. When he makes his return to Earth, he is taken to the hospital.

When he wakes, he removes his face bandages to find that his skin is melting away from the radiation. This drives him insane, so as he's leaving the hospital in a rage he encounters a nurse who is horrified by him... and he murders her.

Answer: The Ring

Amber Tamblyn plays the role of Katie Embry. She and her friend Becca are having a sleepover and are discussing a videotape that kills people seven days after they watch it. Katie admits to Becca that she watched the cursed video. Later that night she dies.

In a later scene the viewers are treated to a flashback of how Katie looks when she is found... sitting on the floor of her bedroom closet with a disfigured look of sheer terror frozen on her face! 'The Ring' is a 2002 American remake of the 1998 Japanese horror classic titled 'Ringu'.
