Will Turner is played by Orlando Bloom. Will is a commoner, a blacksmith. But nonetheless, he is Elizabeth Swann's (the governor's daughter) love interest and part of Jack Sparrow's swashbuckling duo. If you ask me, that's a pretty exciting life for a regular townsperson!

Answer: Port Royal

Port Royal is the town that Elizabeth, Will, and other characters call their home. Elizabeth's father works as governor there. Of course, Port Royal isn't seen for most of the movie, as much of it is set on the open seas.

Answer: The Black Pearl

The Black Pearl is the name of the ship that Jack wants to be the captain of. It holds a crew of cursed pirates. Barbossa is the captain for most of the movie, but Jack eventually, with Will's assistance, removes the curse from the pirates and takes over the Black Pearl.

Answer: Johnny Depp

Johnny Depp is the star of this movie. He plays the infamous pirate by the name of Jack Sparrow, who always manages to escape his fate. Johnny Depp can also be seen in films such as "Edward Scissorhands", "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and "Secret Window".

Answer: The Kraken

The Kraken was the dreaded sea creature that was controlled by Davy Jones. Since Davy was always after Jack, the Kraken was always attacking things of Jack's, like his hat for instance.

Throughout the entire movie, Jack is seen with his compass. The thing about this compass is that it doesn't point north, so it seems quite useless. In the second movie, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest," we find out that the compass is a little more than useless...

Answer: The Interceptor

The Interceptor was one of Port Royal's two docked ships. The other was called The Dauntless. The Interceptor was supposedly the fastest ship in the Caribbean...until the Black Pearl came along.

Answer: Jar of dirt

"I've got a jar of dirt. And guess what's inside it." Captain Jack Sparrow sang this when telling Davy Jones that he was in possession of Davy's heart. Of course, he really wasn't quite in possession of it.

Answer: The Black Spot

Davy Jones sent Bootstrap Bill to Jack Sparrow, in the beginning of the movie, to curse him with the Black Spot. If you don't know, the Black Spot originated in the book "Treasure Island" and it was basically a death sentence to any pirate who received it.

Answer: eunuch

Jack was constantly calling Will a eunuch. The first of these was during their swordfight. It went something like this:
Jack: "Who makes all these?"
Will: "I do, and I practice with them three hours a day."
Jack: "You need to find yourself a girl, mate. Or, perhaps the reason you practice three hours a day is that you've already found one, and are otherwise incapable of wooing said strumpet. You're not a eunuch, are you?"

Answer: Davey Jones

Davy Jones was the lead sea monster, if you will, in the movie. It was his heart that was beating inside the Dead Man's Chest. It was put there because of a lost love. He was too devastated to live, but not enough to die, so he cut his own heart out and locked it inside the chest.

Answer: Cannibal Island

The citizens of Cannibal Island had apparently made Jack their leader before Will arrived. When they found Will, they brought him to Jack to tell them what to do with him. They threw him in a cage built out of human bones. But he was not alone. He had the crew of the Black Pearl to keep him company!

Answer: The Flying Dutchman

The Flying Dutchman was the ship that Davy Jones was the captain of. It held a crew that basically had nothing left to live for, except their assigned years of service.

Answer: East India Trading Company

Lord Cutler Beckett was a big person in the East India Trading Company. Although Mr. Beckett was not introduced until "Dead Man's Chest", the East India Trading Company was mentioned a few times in "The Curse of the Black Pearl" too and its symbol was seen somewhat frequently throughout the second movie.

Answer: James Norrington

In the first movie, we met James Norrington as Commodore Norrington. However, by "Dead Man's Chest" his life had changed drastically. He changed into a violent drunk who was out to get revenge on the people who ruined his life.
