This song was their only hit under this group name. One interesting note: keyboardist John Stevenson wrote a song that the group didn't record but instead sold to The Righteous Brothers.

The song? "Rock and Roll Heaven". Guess they wouldn't have been a "One Hit Wonder" if they recorded that one.

He has done the musical score for over 50 movies, and has been nominated for an Academy Award 12 times, winning 3 of them. Pretty accomplished, don't you think?

Billboard number 30, April 26, 1975. Born in 1906, in New York, Benny (Benjamin Samberg) was both a vaudeville performer and a recording artist, who reached the peak of his career in the 1940's. This song was originally recorded in 1946. Bell wrote many songs with double entendre titles such as "Take a Ship For Yourself", "Without Pants", "My Grandfather Has a Long One", etc. You get the picture, also the song were made in such a way that he never actually says the intended word.

This song was revived in 1975, on the "Dr. Demento" radio program, and Bell became a popular figure once again. Bell passed away in 1999.
