Answer: The Rolling Stones

This is a line from "Get Off of My Cloud", released as a single in the U.S. on September 25, 1965, and in the U.K. a month later. The B-side of the U.S. single was a song called "I'm Free". The B-side of the U.K. single was "The Singer Not the Song". Great lyrics in this song if you can understand them.
2. Who sang this one in 1966? "She's a big teaser. She took me half the way there."

Answer: The Beatles

"Day Tripper" from "Revolver", released on June 20, 1966.
3. Who sang this in 1967? "And your friends, baby, they treat you like a guest."

Answer: Jefferson Airplane

This song is "Somebody to Love", from psychedelic rock kings Jefferson Airplane's best selling album, "Surrealistic Pillow", released February 1, 1967. The album contained this song and their other mega-hit "White Rabbit".

Answer: The Doors

The lyric is taken from the song "Five to One" and the lyric itself is also the title of a popular Doors biography. "Five to One" was included on the "Waiting For the Sun" LP, released in July, 1968.

Answer: Led Zeppelin

This is a line from "Ramble On" off of "Led Zeppelin II" which was released October 22, 1969. 1969 was an amazing year in Rock history, with the release of the first two Led Zeppelin albums, The Rolling Stones masterpiece "Let it Bleed" and The Beatles' "Abbey Road".

Answer: Derek and the Dominoes

This is a line from "Bell Bottom Blues" from "Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs", released in November, 1970. Derek and the Dominoes was comprised of Eric Clapton and Duane Allmann on guitar, Bobby Whitlock on keyboards, Jim Gordon on drums and Carl Radle on bass. Clapton handled most of the lead vocals. This was the only album the band ever recorded.
7. Who sang these lines in 1971? "Now she's with one of my good time buddies, they're drinkin' in some crosstown bar."

Answer: The Allman Brothers

The song is "Whipping Post" from The Allman Brothers 1971 release, "Live at the Fillmore East". Guitarist Duane Allman died in a motorcycle accident on October 29, 1972 in Macon, Georgia. About a year later, bassist Berry Oakley also died in a motorcycle accident, only three blocks from where Allman had died.
8. Who gave us this line in 1972? "Cruisin' on thru the junction, I'm flyin' 'bout the speed of sound."

Answer: Creedence Clearwater Revival

It's "Sweet Hitchhiker" from "Mardi Gras", released in 1972. The band originally consisted of John Fogerty, Tom Fogerty, Doug Clifford and Stu Cook. Tom Fogerty left the group in 1971 and died, tragically, of AIDS on September 6, 1990. "Mardi Gras" was CCR's seventh and final album.
9. This one was first heard in 1973. Can you name the artist? "If I'm too rough, tell me. I'm so scared your little head will come off in my hands."

Answer: Alice Cooper

This song is "Billion Dollar Babies" from the album of the same name. It was released in July, 1973 and is the most successful of all Alice Cooper albums.

Answer: Bad Company

This one is called "Movin' On", from Bad Company's self-titled debut in 1974. In 1973, Bad Company became the first band to sign with Led Zeppelin's "Swan Song" record label. This album also contained the #1 hit "Can't Get Enough".

Answer: Pink Floyd

This song is called "Pigs(Three Different Ones)", from one of my favorite albums of all time, Pink Floyd's "Animals". It was released in 1977. The members of Pink Floyd at the time were: David Gilmour(guitar;vocals), Nick Mason(drums), Rick Wright(keyboards) and the brilliant Roger Waters(bass;vocals).

Answer: The Who

This song is "Who Are You", from the album of the same name, released in 1978.
