Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Who Cares A Lot?" Faith No More's greatest hits CD, I cared a lot and noticed a bunch of cover songs here, which song wasn't covered by the band for this CD?

Answer: The Beatles - "Eleanor Rigby"

FNM did not do a cover of "Eleanor Rigby" on this CD, they did do the other songs though, along with John Barry's "Theme From Midnight Cowboy" and Burt Bacharach's "This Guy's In Love With You".
2. Remember Testament? One of the songs on "The New Order" had a video where Chuck Billy is dreaming about a concert at a little hole in the wall bar, but wakes up to them going on stage at a huge outdoor venue. That was a cover of which Aerosmith Song?

Answer: Nobody's Fault

My favorite part of the video is where Chuck stage dives and everyone steps away so he lands flat on his face. If you said "Draw The Line" that was on their greatest hits album, not "The New Order".
3. Exodus put two cover songs on their CD "Fabulous Disaster", one of them was "Low Rider" by War, the other was a song called "Overdose" by which Australian band?

Answer: AC/DC

No, not INXS, unfortunately Michael Hutchence committed suicide, everyone from Men At Work is alive, and The Ramones are from New York. Bon Scott was misleading us in this song when he said "I never drank much booze", he died after a night of heavy drinking.
4. Dave Mustaine must be an Alice Cooper fan because he has sung on two Alice cover songs, one on the "Shocker soundtrack" and one on "Humanary Stew a tribute to Alice Cooper". What two Alice Cooper songs does he sing on?

Answer: "No More Mr. Nice Guy" & "School's Out"

"Go To Hell" by Alice Cooper and "Go To Hell" by Megadeth were different songs. The "Humanary Stew" CD had Dio covering "Welcome To My Nightmare", Vince Neil covering "Cold Ethyl", Dee Snider did the remake of "Go To Hell", and "The Ballad Of Dwight Fry" wasn't on the CD.
5. Black Sabbath may have started this whole metal thing, and many bands have covered their songs, which of the following is not a Black Sabbath cover song.

Answer: "Parasite" - Anthrax

Anthrax did do a remake of "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" in the past, but "Parasite" is actually a Kiss song, I hope I didn't mess you up to bad on this one.
6. Sepultura does a remake of which Motorhead song on the "Dead Embryotic Cells" EP?

Answer: Orgasmatron

The other two songs on the EP, which was released in 1991, are "Dead Embryotic Cells" and "Troops Of Doom". The Motorhead version can be found on "Orgasmatron" released in 1986.
7. On the "3" CD by Soulfly they do a remake of "One Nation" by which band?

Answer: Sacred Reich

"One Nation" is from Sacred Reich's "Surf Nicaragua" EP which came out in 1988. the other two songs on the EP are "War Pigs" and "Surf Nicaragua".
8. Bon Jovi did a remake of a song about a man who "... calls his child Jesus 'cause he likes the name...". What was the name of the song, and who was it by originally?

Answer: "Levon" by Elton John

"Levon" was originally on the "Madman Across The Water" LP by Elton John, and the Bon Jovi version was on "Two Rooms, A Tribute To The Music Of Elton John And Bernie Taupin". Elton and Bernie may not have been metal madmen, but their music is well worth listening to, regardless of what your primary music intrest is.
9. Metallica has done numerous remakes over their career, one of the bands that Metallica covered on their CD "Garage INC." has done a remake of a Metallica song. Which of the following answers, fits into this category?

Answer: Motorhead - "Enter Sandman"

Metallica did not cover an Anthrax song for this album, Diamond Head did "Am I Evil" originally, and Flotsam And Jetsam's version of "Fade To Black" was an original song and not a remake.
10. The band that would later become Scatterbrain did a cover of a song originally by The Monkees called "Last Train To Clarksville", what was the name of this band?

Answer: Ludachrist

Not to be confused with rapper Ludacris, Ludichrist put out two albums in the mid eighties before changing their name to Scatterbrain. "Last Train To Clarksville" is on the "Immaculate Deception" LP.
