Answer: Ian Brown

Ian Brown, lead singer of the Stone Roses, bestowed the title of King Monkey upon himself. Firstly to make light of the ridiculousness of Michael Jackson's demand that he always be referred to as the King of Pop. And secondly because of his 'ape like' stage presence and simean facial qualities.

In late 1988 Factory records begin putting out music that eventually spawned the 'acid House' dance music revolution, where traditional pop songs(those with vocals and based on guitars)were replaced with sample based electronic music. However some could claim that these late 80's releases were not 'true' acid house.But for all intents and purposes it was in fact electronic music.

Answer: Joy Division

The band changed their name after their former lead singer and song writing collaborator's suicide.Which brings us to the next question...

The Stone Roses had become notorious for throwing huge concerts late at night in abandoned railway stations and warehouses. These parties quickly became the in thing and to capitilise on the phenomenon their mangaer Gareth Evans decided to hold a huge outdoor show at Spike Island. To keep out gatecrashers he flooded the Mersey River so that one had to be ferried to the venue.Though some may claim they made it to the show in other ways.

Answer: Johnny Marr

Johnny Marr was the guitar player and music writer for The Smiths, then went on to work with The The(although only briefly). Later he and Bernard Sumner formerly of New Order formed Electronic. he is currently on tour with his new band Healers and at one point was rumoured to be the replacement for Oasis' Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs.
