Answer: Jacob and Esau

Abraham was impatient and did not wait for God's promise. Ishmael was born to a handmaid before Isaac was born and history thereafter took a surprising turn!

Answer: Shem Ham and Japheth

Lamech's son was Noah and God told Noah to build the Ark and take refuge from the flood with his family and a selection of animals. In the New Testament Noah hiding in the Ark to save himself from God's anger is likened to believers hiding in the sacrifice of Jesus to be safe from the anger of God.

After David's great friend Jonathan, Saul's son, had been killed in battle, David asked if there was anyone left of the house of Saul that he could be kind to for Jonathan's sake. Mephibosheth had been unjustly accused of helping the enemy and so David cared for him for the rest of his life.
