Answer: II Samuel

David took a census of Israel and Judah, and therefore sinned against the Lord. So God sent a plague on Israel, killing seventy thousand people. David prayed, asking the Lord to stop the plague. 2. Where did Eutychus fall out of a window?

Answer: Troas

Acts 20:6-12 (NIV) tells us that Paul and his companions arrived in Troas, where they stayed for seven days. Paul revived him, and the people were greatly comforted.
3. Where did Peter first say that Jesus was the Christ?

Answer: The villages of Caesarea Philippi

The story is found in Mark 8:27-29 (NIV): "Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, 'Who do people say I am?' 4. Who said, "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind."?

Answer: Balaam

Numbers 23:16-19 (NIV) tells us that Balak asked Balaam to curse the Israelites. Balaam told him, "God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill? I have received a command to bless; he has blessed, and I cannot change it."
5. What king of Judah was enraged at the prophet Hanani, because he rebuked the king for his lack of reliance on God?

Answer: Asa

This story comes from II Chronicles 16:7-10 (NIV). Asa was angry with the seer because of this; he was so enraged that he put him in prison."
6. Whose birth was foretold by a man of God, "crying out against the altar" at Bethel?

Answer: Josiah

This prophecy is found in I Kings 13:1-2 (NIV), which says, "By the word of the Lord a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering. He boasted that he was someone great, and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed, 'This man is the divine power known as the Great Power.'"
9. In which book do we find the quotation, "If we died with him, we will also live with him."?

Answer: II Timothy

In II Timothy 2:11-13 (NIV), Paul writes, "If we died with him, we will also live with him; If we endure, we will also reign with him; If we disown him, he will also disown us; If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself."
