Answer: The Lambs

They got the nickname because the club used to use the nearby pub, The Lamb Inn, as a changing room.
2. When were Tamworth F.C. formed?

Answer: 1933

Formed after the collapse of Tamworth Castle F.C.
3. What is the name of Tamworth FC's ground?

Answer: The Lamb

Named after an old pub that stood near to where the ground is located. Also the inspiration for the club's nickname.
4. Tamworth won the FA Vase in 1989, but at which ground?

Answer: London Road

They originally held it at Wembley but the game ended in a draw so they replayed it at Peterborough United's ground four days later. The FA Vase is a competition held for any non league team playing in an English division.
5. Who did Tamworth beat in the 1989 FA Vase final?

Answer: Sudbury Town

They won 3-0 in the replay. The FA Vase replaced the FA Amateur cup in 1974.
6. Who was the first manager of the club?

Answer: Billy Goffin

Appointed at the start of the 1955-56 season. The club up until that point was run by committee.
7. Who was manager at the time of the 1989 FA Vase victory?

Answer: Graham Smith

All have managed Tamworth at least once. Graham Smith managed from 1987 till 1991. Sammy Chung from 1992 until 1993. Paul Hendrie from 1995 to 2000 and Dale Belford had three stints as caretaker manager in 2007, 2011 and in 2013 before he was appointed as manager proper.

Since then Tamworth have battled relegation almost every season they have spent in the league.
9. In the 2005-06 season Tamworth FC got through to the third round of the FA Cup for the first time -- who did they play?

Answer: Stoke City

And took them to a replay as well! After a 0-0 draw in the original game the replay was settled on penalties with Stoke winning 5-4 after the game ended 1-1. Nathan Jackson scored in the 42nd minute for Tamworth and Paul Gallagher equalised in the 80th for Stoke.
10. Tamworth has had a few notable players in its past but which one of these former players has never been capped internationally?

Answer: Bob Taylor

Yes, Paul Merson did play twice for Tamworth, but just as strange is Lee Hendrie has got an England cap!
