1. Penny Oleksiak
Answer: Swimming
Penny Oleksiak won the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2016 for her accomplishments at the 2016 Summer Olympics. At that competition she became the first Canadian to capture four medals during the same Olympic Games. She won gold, silver and two bronze in the swimming events at the young age of sixteen.
2. Patrick Chan

Patrick Chan won the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2011 for his excellence in figure skating. During the 2011 season he won the World Figure Skating Championships in men's singles becoming only the fourth Canadian to accomplish that. In 2011, he was also victorious at the Grand Prix Final and the Canadian National Championship.
3. Joey Votto

Joey Votto was twice awarded with the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2010 and 2017 for his superior performance in Major League Baseball. He started his career as a first baseman with the Cincinnati Reds and is known as a clutch hitter. Votto has won numerous baseball awards including NL Most Valuable Player in 2010 and his first Gold Glove Award in 2011.
4. Carey Price

Carey Price garnered the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2015 for his achievements in ice hockey as a goaltender in the National Hockey League. He was outstanding during the 2014-15 season which saw him lead the league in goals against average, save percentage and wins. Price was the recipient of four NHL awards that year including the Hart Memorial Trophy for league MVP.
5. Mikael Kingsbury

Mikael Kingsbury captured the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2018 for his dominance as a freestyle and moguls skier, the first to do so in his discipline. During 2018 he won a gold medal in men's moguls at the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. He is among the best of all time with numerous World Cup titles to his credit.
6. Christine Sinclair

Christine Sinclair was the recipient of the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2012 for her excellence as a soccer player. During the 2012 Olympic Games she won the golden boot for best player after having scored six goals in the tournament. Her performance helped Canada secure a bronze medal after a controversial loss in the semifinals.
7. Mike Weir

Mike Weir won the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2003 for his achievements as a professional golfer. He is best remembered for having captured the 2003 Masters Tournament, one of the four majors on the PGA Tour and the first Canadian to accomplish this feat. During 2003 he would also go on to finish third in the US Open.
8. Kaillie Humphries

Kaillie Humphries won the Lou March Trophy in 2014 for her accomplishments as a bobsledder. She triumphed at both the 2010 and 2014 Winter Olympics in the two-woman event winning a gold medal on both occasions with her partner Heather Moyse. Her 2014 victory marked the first time that somebody had repeated as Olympic champion.
9. Cindy Klassen

Cindy Klassen was awarded with the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2006. She is a retired speed skater having won six medals at the Winter Olympics. During the Olympics of 2006 in Turin she became the first female speed skater to win five medals at one Olympic Games. She was also named to the Order of Manitoba in 2006.
10. Steve Nash

Steve Nash captured the Lou Marsh Trophy in 2005 for his exploits as a professional basketball player in the NBA. In both 2005 and 2006 he was the Most Valuable Player in the NBA and was voted as an NBA All-Star eight times. He was known as a playmaker and was consistently among the league leaders in assists.
