1. Christa Deguchi

Christa Deguchi, born in 1995 in Shiojiri, Japan, is a Japanese-Canadian judoka who competes in the women's 57kg division. She was Canada's first world champion in judo, winning the gold medal at the 2019 World Judo Championships in Tokyo. She repeated her triumph in Doha four years later. Deguchi also won several medals at Grand Slam and Grand Prix events.

At Paris 2024, she defeated Kristine Jiménez (Panama), Marica Perisiæ (Serbia) and Sarah-Léonie Cysique (France), to reach the final of the women's 57kg judo competition.

She won the gold medal bout against reigning world champion Huh Mi-mi of South Korea.
2. Summer McIntosh

Summer McIntosh was born in Toronto in 2006. She came to prominence at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics, where she finished fourth in the 400m freestyle at the age of 14. In 2022, she set several junior world records and won gold in the 400m individual medley and 200m butterfly at the World Championships.

In 2023, she broke world records in the 400m freestyle and individual medley. At Paris 2024, she won three gold medals in the 200m butterfly, 200m and 400m individual medley. She also took silver in the 400m freestyle.

After her remarkable performances, she was named Canada's co-flag bearer at the closing ceremony.
3. Wyatt Sanford

Wyatt Sanford, born in Kennetcook in 1998. As an amateur boxer he represented Canada at the 2023 Pan American Games, winning a gold medal. At Paris 2024, he reached the quarter-finals of the 63.5kg lightweight division. He won his opening bout against Bulgaria's Radoslav Rosenov and defeated Uzbekistan's Ruslan Abdullaev in the quarter-finals.

He then lost to France's Sofiane Oumiha in the semi-finals to win the bronze medal.
4. Maude Charron

Maude Charron is a Canadian weightlifter who was born in Rimouski, Quebec in 1993. She won gold medals in the 64kg category at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She also won multiple medals at the Pan American Weightlifting Championships.

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she continued her run of success, winning a silver medal in the women's 65kg category - she achieved a total of 236 kg with a snatch of 106 kg and a clean and jerk of 130 kg. Gold went to Luo Shifang of China and bronze to Kuo Hsing-chun of Chinese Taipei. Charron was one of the flag bearers at the opening ceremony.
5. Philip Kim

Philip Kim (nicknamed Phil Wizard in competition) is a Canadian breakdancer born in Toronto in 1997. He won gold medals at the 2022 World Breaking Championships in Seoul and the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile. He competed in the inaugural breaking event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, advancing through the preliminary rounds in the B boys event with high scores in creativity and execution.

After eliminating Lee of the Netherlands and Shigekix of Japan in the quarter-finals and semi-finals respectively, he defeated Dany Dann of France 5-4, 9-0, 9-0 in a one-sided gold medal match.
6. Melissa Humana-Paredes

Melissa Humana-Paredes, born in Toronto in 1992, is a Canadian beach volleyball player who gained international recognition through her partnership with Sarah Pavan. The duo became the first Canadian pair to win gold, at the 2019 Beach Volleyball World Championships.

In 2022, Humana-Paredes formed a new partnership with Brandie Wilkerson, winning several events on the Beach Pro Tour. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson made history by winning silver in the women's beach volleyball competition.

In the gold medal match, they lost to the Brazilian duo of Ana Patrícia and Duda 2 sets to 1. The medal was Canada's first ever in women's Olympic beach volleyball.
7. Katie Vincent

Katie Vincent, born in Mississauga in 1996, is a Canadian sprint canoeist. She had won nine gold medals at the World Championships prior to Paris 2024. A strong advocate for gender equality in sport, Vincent has also competed in mixed events, helping to raise the profile of women's canoeing.

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she won gold in the C-1 200m with a time of 44.12 seconds in the final. She also teamed up with Sloan MacKenzie in the C-2 500m, where the duo won bronze in 1:54.36 behind the Chinese and the Ukrainian duos.
8. Camryn Rogers

Camryn Rogers, born in Richmond, BC in 1999, has been a hammer thrower since her collegiate days at the University of California, Berkeley USA. She won the NCAA hammer title three times (2019, 2021, 2022) and set the NCAA record in the event. On the international stage, Rogers secured a gold medal at the 2023 World Championships, becoming the first Canadian woman to win a medal in the hammer at a World Championships.

She also won gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she won gold with a throw of 76.97 metres on her fifth attempt.

It was Canada's first Olympic gold in the event. Silver went to Annette Echikunwoke (USA), bronze to Zhao Jie of China.
9. Skylar Park

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1999, Skylar Park is a Canadian taekwondo athlete. Coming from a family with deep roots in the sport, Park emerged as a promising talent when she won bronze in the 57kg category at the 2019 World Championships. She has also won several gold medals on the World Taekwondo Grand Prix circuit and competed in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where she reached the quarter-finals.

At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, she won the bronze medal in the women's 57kg taekwondo category. She reached the bronze medal bout via the repechage, where she defeated Lebanon's Laetitia Aoun.
10. Felix Auger-Aliassime

Félix Auger-Aliassime, born in Montreal, Quebec in 2000, is a Canadian tennis player. He won his first ATP singles title in 2022. He helped Canada win the Davis Cup in 2022 and reached a career-high ranking of No. 6. At the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, he won bronze in mixed doubles with team-mate Gabriela Dabrowski.

After losing to Macháè/Siniaková of the Czech Republic in the semi-finals, the Canadian duo went on to win the bronze medal match 6-3, 7-6 against Schuurs/Koolhof of the Netherlands.
