Formed in 1888, Walsall had won their divison only once. They won the old fourth division in the 1959-1960 season with Tony Richards being Walsall's top goal scorer with 24.

It was the memorable day when Walsall won 3-2 in the final to get promoted to the first divison after being behind twice. Memorable goals from Don Goodman and Darren Byfield, and of course the hilarious own goal, were great times.

Boasting attendances of over 25,000, Fellows Park was a magnificent stadium, named Hillary street up until 1930. Walsall's original home was the Chuckery, and Bramall Lane was the home of Sheffield United.

Walsall were one of only a handful of teams that never appeared at the old Wembley Stadium. However, they appeared at the Millenium Stadium in the first year that the finals were played there instead of Wembley in 2001.

Super Jimmy Walker was loved by all Saddlers. In his time as Walsall was a fan favourite and was a vital part of the team's success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, helping the Saddlers to reach the old First Divison twice and stay there for the longest time in the club's history, before moving up to West Ham in 2004. Dean Keates and Martin O'Conner were both midfielders for the club, who also gave their all for the club while Chris Marsh was a full-back and also served the club for over 10 years.

It was Albert Aldridge which played for England against Ireland in 1888-1889. All the other three played for England and Walsall but not at the same time. Lofthouse played at Blackburn and Accrington Stanley, and Clarke when at Leeds and Statham when at WBA.

Neither Lofthouse or Kearns have a stand named after them, and although there used to be a stand named the Gilbert Alsop Stand, it was replaced by the Purple Stand when the ground was improved.

Answer: Alan Buckley

Alan Buckley was one of Walsall's greatest players. Tony Richards scored 198 goals while Colin Taylor scored an incredible 189 goals from the wing. David Kelly, although only netting 80 goals, had also gone down as a Walsall great.
