2.11 "The Leadership Breakfast" Quiz

The episode began with Sam and Josh gathering wood to build a fire as it was December and in the middle of the night so the temperatures were colder than usual. Donna suggested that perhaps they get some supervision in building the fire but Josh wondered what kind they would need as it was a simple fire they were building. Donna wondered if perhaps the American Red Cross or FEMA supervise them since it was in the middle of the night and might bother other people.

As Josh and Sam continued to build their fire, Josh stopped for a second to ask Donna where C.J. was and Donna replied that C.J. was in the Roosevelt Room. He inquired as to if she was putting together the seating arrangement for the leadership breakfast, to which Donna said yes. Josh informed Donna of an attendee who had a hearing aid and needed to sit near the center and asked she let C.J. know this. Donna agreed to pass on this information to C.J.

C.J. commented to those who helped her with the breakfast seating arrangement how they did not take as long as time as they could have and managed to finish the seating arrangement in just seven and a half hours. Toby came in and told C.J. that she forgot to place one person in the seating arrangement. C.J. looked it over and could not figure out who she missed so Toby advised her she needed to seat President Bartlet.

Sam and Josh started the fire and it caused the hallways to smoke as the wood had been wet so it did not burn properly. Charlie smelled the smoke and told them he did not want to have to wake up the President. Since the smoke alarms went off, Charlie made his way to the president's bedroom and informed him how there was a fire in the building.

During the opening credits, Toby went over the guidelines of the breakfast with Leo and noticed something interesting on the sheet he had. He inquired to Leo as to why it said they could not discuss the Patients' Bill of Rights at the breakfast. Leo responded that they could discuss it but just not the part about dropping the provision to allow for litigation concerning the Patients' Bill of Rights.

President Bartlet entered his office the morning after the smoke alarm incident at The White House and asked Charlie to give him his schedule for the day. After Charlie got done, President Bartlet asked who it was who set off the smoke alarm the previous night. Josh replied that it was Sam who he was talking about so Sam asked him if he was inconvenienced by it. President Bartlet responded that he was on the Truman balcony for a while in his underwear.

Answer: Leo McGarry

Leo asked for Josh to come into his office and that was when he told him he wanted him to go to Ben and Sally's for dinner that night. Josh asked Leo if he was going but Leo told him he would not be attending. Josh asked if he was invited but Leo said he was not so Josh wanted to know if Ben and Sally asked for him to come. Leo told him they did not want Josh at their home for dinner but he needed Josh to go since Ben and Sally were going to do Leo a favor.

Answer: Felicity Huffman

Huffman, born on December 9th, 1962 in Bedford, New York guest starred as Ann Stark for this episode. Ann was involved in a meeting to discuss the intentions for the leadership breakfast. Huffman played Ann for just this one episode of "The West Wing." She has also guest starred on the TV shows, "Chicago Hope" and "The X Files." She is best known for playing Lynette Scavo on the ABC primetime series, "Desperate Housewives."

Donna entered Sam's office, in one scene, and he asked her if she knew there was a swimming pool right underneath the press briefing room. Donna replied she did not and she looked surprised over this news. Sam changed the subject and them informed her how the efficiency auditor at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) said The White House had more people staffed at that point than at anytime in its history.

Answer: Corbin Bernsen

Bernsen, born on September 7th, 1954 in North Hollywood, California guest starred as Henry Shallick. Henry Shallock was the Deputy House Majority Whip. Bernsen starred as Shallick in two episodes of "The West Wing." He also guest starred on the TV shows, "Boston Legal" and "NYPD Blue." From September of 2004 to May of 2006, he played John Durant on the ABC soap opera, "General Hospital."
