Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The episode opened on a scene from the past. Two young girls were in the woods seeking out a witch. Whose memory was this?

Answer: Cersei's

Cersei led her young companion deep into the woods in search of a witch. She wanted the witch to tell her future. The witch tasted her blood and told Cersei she could ask three questions. Cersei found out that she would not marry a prince to which she'd been promised, but would marry a king instead.

The witch told her she'd have three children, none of which would belong to the king, and that he would have twenty of his own. And, it seemed as though the witch also saw who the father of those children would be, and she laughed heartily at that idea.
2. Jaime and Cersei knew that their brother, Tyrion, was who'd murdered their father, Tywin.

Answer: True

In the season four finale, Jaime had helped his youngest sibling escape before being put to death. On Tyrion's way out of the castle, he killed his former lover Shae and his own father Tywin. Cersei and Jaime mourned over the body of Tywin Lannister and Cersei reminded Jaime once more of the dangerous little monster that had now killed their father.

She told Jaime that at least Tyrion had killed him on purpose, as Jaime had only done it by accident. Tyrion was seen shortly thereafter finally escaping the packing crate.
3. Who said this after learning someone had been murdered in Meereen by the Sons of the Harpy? "Find the men who did this, and bring them to me."

Answer: Daenerys

White Rat was murdered while in the company of a prostitute. Being one of the Unsullied, he was not able to perform sexually as a man, but was there for comfort. She slit his throat on behalf of the Sons of the Harpy, who wanted revenge for the slave revolt in Meereen. They left a gold mask behind as a calling card.
4. Who told Jon Snow that she was never cold because "the lord's fire lives within me"?

Answer: Melisandre

She then took his hand, removed his glove, and placed it upon her face. Afterward, she asked him if he was a virgin, when he said "no", she smiled and said "good". She'd come down the ice wall to retrieve Jon so King Stannis could speak with him. Carice van Houten plays Melisandre. On a 2015 episode of "Late Night with Seth Myers", Carice and Seth revealed they'd had long friendship and he was one of the first people to find out she'd been offered the role of Melisandre.

Tauriel and Galadriel were characters in "The Hobbit" film franchise.
5. Cersei discovered that her cousin Lancel had joined a religious group called what?

Answer: Sparrows

This was at the wake of her father Tywin. She'd observed her daughter-in-law, former Queen Margaery, working her magic on the new king, young Tommen Baratheon. Her cousin Lancel came up to her to offer his sympathies. He was much different than we last saw him, dressed modestly and without shoes.

His father came up to Cersei and explained about the Sparrows. Lancel later approached Cersei and told her he was sorry for his hand in her "unnatural relations" and whatever he'd done to her husband's wine during/after the pig hunt that resulted in his death.

His apologies felt genuine, albeit a bit vague.
6. Who interrupted Loras and Oliver's love session in order to encourage Loras to hurry to dinner?

Answer: Margaery, Loras' sister

Since it appeared Margaery was in the mood to woo the new king, she barged into her brother's room as he made out with his new lover Oliver. She claimed not only was Loras making the king wait, but that she was also very hungry. I agree she was hungry, hungry for power.
7. Lord Varys implored Tyrion to travel to Meereen and meet Daenerys.

Answer: True

Tyrion: "I will never sit on the Iron Throne."
Varys: "No, you won't. But you could help another climb those steps and take that seat. The Seven Kingdoms need someone stronger than Tommen, but gentler than Stannis. A monarch who could intimidate the high lords and inspire the people. A ruler loved by millions with a powerful army and a right family name."
Tyrion: "Good luck finding him."
Varys: "Who said anything about 'him'?"

Varys told Tyrion that he had a choice. He could stay at the palace and drink himself to death or head to Meereen and meet Daenerys.
8. What offer did Jon Snow make to Mance Rayder?

Answer: Bend a knee before King Stannis

Stannis wanted Mance to bend a knee to him and pledge the Wildlings to fight in his war. Mance declined this offer and Jon told him that he was making a big mistake. It was Stannis who'd asked Jon if he wanted revenge on Roose Bolton for the death of his brother Robb Stark.
9. Who was burned alive?

Answer: Mance

Melisandre lit the fire that burned Mance alive. He'd refused to bend a knee for Stannis, and that was his punishment. His men looked on as the fire consumed him. Jon couldn't stand by and watch a man he respected, the King Beyond the Wall, die in such a horrific manner. So, he shot an arrow into his heart to end his suffering.
10. Did Daenerys free her dragons in this episode?

Answer: No

Daario Naharis urged her to do so. He said she was no Queen of Dragons without them. She explained that she did not want the body of another burned child placed at her feet and that one of the dragons had not been seen for weeks. She admitted she could no longer control them. But, she did go down and visit the two she'd locked up.

They came at her aggressively and she left them in their prison.
