Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. When Arya challenged the Waif on who she was, and why she was at the House of Black and White, the young woman told Arya a story. Which choice was NOT a portion of her story?

Answer: She was from Meereen

"I'm from Westeros, just like you... daughter of a lord, just like you. Except, I was an only child, heir to his fortune. My mother died. My father remarried and his new wife gave birth to a girl. My step-mother didn't want any rivals for her precious daughter, so she tried to kill me with poison. I found out, sought help from the Faceless Men and my father was widowed again. I've been serving them ever since... Was that true, or a lie?"

The Waif was proving a point to Arya. Arya's impatience begged for a reality check, and she started to learn something right then. Faye Marsay played the Waif.
2. Arya: "I'm not playing this stupid game anymore!" What was Jaqen's response?

Answer: "We never stop playing."

After her lesson from the Waif, Jaqen came to Arya to test her once more. He asked her who she was, and she mixed a tale of truth and lies. Each time she lied Jaqen knew, and hit her with a switch. She took all of the abuse until she claimed to have hated the Hound, and he hit her several times as she insisted it was true.

She had wanted the Hound to suffer, but in the end I believed Arya had cared for the man.
3. Did Tyrion admit to Jorah that he'd killed his own father, Tywin?

Answer: Yes

It had never occurred to Jorah, before that moment, to even ask Tyrion why he'd run away from King's Landing. Tyrion told Jorah he'd traveled from his home to Pentos inside a crate and never spoken a word. When Jorah asked him why he'd done it, Tyrion revealed that he'd killed his father. Tywin hated Tyrion his entire life, because his wife (Joanna) had died giving birth to Tyrion. Tyrion told Jorah of how Tywin had sentenced him to death for a crime he did not commit (Joffrey's murder) and that he'd also been sleeping with the woman Tyrion loved. During this conversation, Tyrion's words revealed to Jorah that his own father had died as well.
4. When Ghita was brought into the House of Black and White, Arya was given the chance to prove herself. She told Ghita a story about herself, and Ghita believed her. Which choice DID happen in Arya's story?

Answer: She drank from the fountain of the Many-Faced God.

The man told Arya that he'd taken his dying daughter (actress Hattie Gotobed) to every healer in Braavos, and that he'd spent all of his money trying to save her. Arya went to the girl and told her a story.

Ghita: "It hurts."

Arya: "I know, don't be afraid. I used to be like you. I was sick, I was dying, but my father never gave up on me. He loved me more than anything in the world. Just like your father loves you. So he brought me here. My father prayed to the Many-Faced God, and I drank the water from his fountain. It healed me. I've devoted my life to him now. You don't want to hurt anymore. Drink."

Afterward, Arya was seen cleansing Ghita's body.
5. Who said, "The Targaryens are famously insane. What if she conquers the world, then what"?

Answer: Tyrion

He'd just heard the reason behind Jorah's devotion to Daenerys. Jorah told of her stepping into a fire with three stone eggs, and coming out unscathed with three dragon babies. It was then Jorah was convinced. After Tyrion asked his question, Jorah replied, "first we have to conquer the world".

Joffrey was long dead by this episode.
6. Were Jorah and Tyrion kept alive by Malko?

Answer: Yes

Tyrion had to do some fast talking to keep himself alive at the hands of Malko and his men. After he accomplished that, he learned that Daenerys had reopened the fighting pits in Meereen. So, he began telling tales of Jorah's success as a fighter. But, it was Jorah himself who convinced Malko of his abilities, when he told of the time he'd killed a Dothraki bloodrider named Qotho who rode beside Khal Drogo. Malko was convinced by these tales.

This episode marked the first appearance of Malko, played by Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. Fans may remember him from such TV shows as "Oz" and "Lost".
7. Petyr: "We both peddle fantasies Brother Lancel, mine just happen to be _________." What word finished out that quote?

Answer: entertaining

Petyr had arrived in King's Landing at Cersei's request. He found himself receiving veiled threats from the Sparrows immediately. Flesh peddlers would no longer be tolerated there.
8. What's the name of the Martell man who Myrcella wanted to marry?

Answer: Trystane

They appeared to be in love, and Trystane said he'd be asking his father soon when they could get married. Meanwhile, Jaime and Bronn were on their way into Dorne to save her from dangers there. They encountered Ellaria's Sand Snakes, but all were rounded up by the prince's men.

Toby Sebastian played Trystane.
9. Who testified against Loras at his inquiry, causing Loras and Margaery to be put into custody for a trial?

Answer: Olyvar

Olyvar, Loras' lover, told of their time together and included the time Margaery had walked in on the two of them in bed together. The details of Loras' distinct birthmark sealed Olyvar's testimony against the siblings.

Will Tudor played Olyvar starting in season three. The incorrect choices are characters from the trilogy "His Dark Materials" by Philip Pullman.
10. Sansa married Ramsay Bolton.

Answer: True

Myranda came to Sansa to help her ready for the marriage ceremony. While with Sansa, the jealous woman try to scare her. Sansa did not fall for the woman's stories, but she should have. Reek/Theon escorted Sansa to the wedding, and then was forced to witness the wedding night by Ramsay. He cried as he watched what was happening. Theon knew all too well what torture from Ramsay was like.
