Christian Shephard guided Locke to the frozen donkey wheel to send him off the island and collect the Oceanic Six. This was his farewell and was unable to answer Locke's question on who his son was, but he knew he meant one of the six. Later Locke concluded that he must have meant Jack Shephard. Kate and Sun were daughters. Hurley's father was accounted for, and he could not have been Sayid's or Aaron's father. Of the answers, all of these characters have sons. Michael's son is Walt. Horace is father to Ethan. Claire had Aaron, but her life status was unknown.

Answer: Yemi

Yemi was a priest in Nigeria, brother to Eko. Eko had saved Yemi from the Nigerian mob, but in doing so became a feared criminal himself. He used Yemi's church to transport heroin. In the process, he became to some degree responsible for Yemi's death. Eko took Yemi's priestly role and traveled, attempting to make up for his past sins. On the island, Eko proudly stated that he was not repentant. Yemi appeared to be most likely the smoke monster calling Eko to account for his crimes. On the other possible answers, Charlie's brother was former heroin addict, Liam. Neither Ethan or Boone are shown to have brothers, but Boone had a step-sister, Shannon.

Answer: Ana Lucia

Hurley was facing murder charges committed by Sayid, who was attempting to protect Hurley. Sayid was knocked unconscious, putting Hurley literally in the driver's seat as they tried to evade police. Ana Lucia pulled them over, dressed in her police uniform.

She told Hurley to avoid the police at all costs and to buy a new shirt. She then told him that Libby said "hi". Hurley and Libby had been enjoying a romance before she was shot. Hurley later gave himself up to police to escape Ben, but the charges were dropped. Hurley has also been visited by other deceased people, most often by Charlie.

He also mentioned played chess with Eko.

Answer: Wayne

Wayne was Kate's despised step-father, which she discovered as an adult to be her actual father. She was so upset by the news that this abusive alcoholic could possibly affect her genes that she killed him. When she became a fugitive, a vision of a black horse helped her to escape capture.

Then on the island, she saw the same horse. She might have possibly had a conversation with Wayne through a badly wounded Sawyer, where she hashed out her issues with Wayne. She later came to terms with who her father was, again meeting the horse on the island.

Answer: Ben

Ben's mother, Emily Linus, died giving birth to Ben. Ben's father, Roger, held this against Ben to some degree. As a young boy, Roger brought Ben with him to the island when he joined the Dharma Initiative. Angry at his father's treatment of him, Ben was very easily drawn to image of his mother.

He followed her into the jungle, meeting Richard, one of the Hostiles. Daniel was outlived by his mother, since she shot him. Claire's mother was last seen alive, having come out of a coma. Alex only outlived her mother by a short time.

Answer: Christian

Claire, Miles, and Aaron were among a small band of survivors traveling across the island. During the night at camp, Claire left after seeing her father, Christian. Not much else is known about the conversation or her motivation, but Miles stated the next morning that he had seen Claire leave with someone she called her father. Little did Miles know that he saw a dead man walking. Claire left Aaron behind with the others. Christian has also been seen post-death by Frank, Hurley, Jack, Locke, Michael, and Sun. Only Jack and eventually Locke knew who he was.

His coffin has been found, but his corpse was missing.

Answer: Alex

When Martin Keamy and his mercenaries were hunting for Ben, they captured Alex to force Ben's hand. Ben was positive that Keamy could not harm Alex and called Keamy's bluff. Ben witnessed her being shot execution style. He would later kill Keamy and attempt to kill the daughter of Charles Widmore, who had sent the mercenaries.

He returned to the island to face responsibility for his role in Alex's death. Locke led Ben to a space below the temple where he was confronted by Alex and warned to follow Locke.

Answer: Boone

Locke referred to Boone as a "sacrifice the island demanded". In his dream, Boone accepted this explanation with Locke's apology for his role in Boone's death. In the dream, Boone led a paralyzed Locke through the Sydney airport to find the one that needed his help. Eventually, he would have to climb a flight of stairs to discover Eko. Boone informed Locke had to clean up his own mess before he could help Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. Locke had been responsible for Eko's current predicament. Horace would later guide Locke to Jacob's cabin via a dream.

Answer: Libby

Michael made a deal with the Others to rescue Ben for Walt and freedom of the island. To rescue Ben, he killed Ana Lucia in cold blood but accidentally shot Libby. Apparently it was Libby's death that haunted him the most. After returning home, he told Walt what he had done, and Walt refused to see him. Michael made several attempts to commit suicide, but none were successful.

In the hospital after one attempt, Libby came in the form of carrying blankets. She was carrying blankets when he shot her.

This appeared to be a dream, but you never can tell. Tom also visited Michael stateside, but this was before his death.

Answer: Locke

With all the strange occurrences on the show, remarkably most people believed that John Locke came back from the dead. However, in the final episode of the fifth season, it was revealed that this particular Locke was an unnamed man with a long-standing dream of killing Jacob. One has to wonder about all the other sightings of the dead as well.

In a reversal of the usual order, this fake Locke manipulated Ben into killing Jacob.
