Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who informs the family that Selma is dating an ex-convict?

Answer: Patty

Homer, Bart, Lisa, and Maggie watch a dinosaur TV show while waiting for their night to begin. All dressed up, the family anticipates Aunt Selma's new boyfriend, who they invited over for dinner. Patty, however, informs the family that in her eagerness not to die alone, Selma has signed up as a prison pen pal, and her new boyfriend spent time in jail.

When they arrive at the door, the kids re shocked to find that she's dating Sideshow Bob, who Bart earlier sent to prison for framing Krusty the Clown for armed robbery (of the Kwik-E-Mart).
2. While in prison, Sideshow Bob did which of these things?

Answer: Won a Daytime Emmy

At dinner, Bob is seated next to Bart in a surprising arrangement, and to make things more difficult, Homer tries to discuss gutting the snitch who sent Bob to prison. Bart is less than excited. Things have changed though. While in prison, Bob achieved his goal of being a top-rate children's performer by winning a Daytime Emmy for his role on Krusty's show (ironically, awarded by Krusty himself). Fortunately, this caused Bob to lose any urges he had to continue with that line of work.

He found joy in planning revenge against Bart, but opted not to follow through.
3. Where does Bob propose to Selma?

Answer: At the Simpson household

When Bob received his first letter from Selma, he followed through with a response and found love. This quickly convinced him to be a better inmate so that he and Selma could finally unite and be together outside of jail. Eventually, he was granted his freedom for serving his debt to society and she met him at the gates of Springfield Penitentiary.

The family is thrilled that Selma has finally found true love, but Bart isn't quite convinced. After apologizing to Bart, Bob goes to one knee and proposes to Selma.

She accepts.
4. Krusty the Clown is seen raising money for which of these afflictions?

Answer: Motion sickness

Bob and Selma, now engaged, begin making the most of their time together by going to karaoke, paddling a boat, and romping through flowery fields. There's a noticeable shift in Selma's attitude too; she passes failing drivers at the DMV simply because she's too lovestruck to care about their results.
At home, the Simpsons watch as Sideshow Bob appears on a Krusty the Clown 'Motion Sickness Telethon'. Bob even seems to have made up with the man he tried to frame; he finds his forgiveness. Bart is unwavering in his dislike.
5. Selma claims that all food tastes like what to her?

Answer: Styrofoam

Wedding plans are soon underway for the happy couple and Marge asks what they would possibly want for appetizers at the wedding. After Homer suggests cocktail weenies to Bob, Selma says that she really doesn't care what they have at the wedding since it all tastes like Styrofoam to her.

She explains that when she and Patty were younger, a bottle rocket shot straight up her nose; she permanently lost her senses of taste and smell.
6. How does Selma plan to pay for the wedding, since Bob has no money?

Answer: She invested in stocks

Bob is concerned since the expenditures for the wedding seem to be mounting quickly, and he only has $2 left from the $10 he received leaving prison. Selma tells him not to worry; she invested in a mace company shortly before society crumbled. Bart overhears the conversation being had and finds it odd that Bob points out that people may thing he's marrying her for her money instead of her "less tangible qualities".
7. What TV show, Selma's favourite, does Bob take to criticizing?

Answer: MacGyver

The night before the wedding, Selma and Bob take a horse and carriage ride only to cut it to an abrupt end when Selma has to rush home to watch the latest episode of "MacGyver" with Patty. They make it back in time to watch the end, but Bob can't help but criticize the horrible acting of the program, leaving Selma in tears.

When she goes running to Marge, she threatens to call off the wedding, citing "MacGyver" as non-negotiable. It's Homer who creates the solution: Bob will go for a walk when "MacGyver" is on TV. Marriage saved.
8. During her wedding reception, Selma states that she is giving up smoking entirely.

Answer: False

The wedding goes off without a hitch and, soon, everyone enjoys the reception. Homer, specifically, partakes in nearly every appetizer available. Patty waxes on being the only single girl in the family while Marge films the guests. Bob gives a quick speech and Selma reveals that she's giving up smoking...except after meals and after "MacGyver".

The whole ordeal ends and Selma and Bob ride off into the night, off to their honeymoon.
9. Where do Selma and Bob go on their honeymoon?

Answer: Shelbyville

Selma sends the Simpsons a video from her and Bob's honeymoon in Shelbyville, making note of all the sights and showing Bob making a fuss and getting angry that their room doesn't have a fireplace. After consummating their marriage, Selma whisks herself away to watch "MacGyver" and Bb sets his plan in motion, leaving the gas fireplace running and placing Selma's post-program cigarettes on a side table. He heads out to wait for the explosion.
Back at the Simpson house, Patty stops by to watch TV, and when "MacGyver" comes on, it finally clicks for Bart. They have one hour.
10. Who blows up the hotel room?

Answer: Chief Wiggum

The explosion rocks the hotel and Bob returns to the room to find Selma alive. Bart reveals that he figured it all out (before the cops). Bob wanted the fireplace because of the gas; Selma lost her sense of taste and smell, and would never know the natural gas was leaking.

Her cigarette was the final spark. Bart was able to convince the family that they needed to get to the hotel and they made it just in time, stopping her while she had the cigarette in her mouth. The room only exploded because the cops had celebratory cigars after saving Selma.

The family thanks Bart and Bob heads back to jail.
