Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Marge and Homer, opting to watch a more adult film, end up choosing which of these at the Googolplex?

Answer: The Stockholm Affair

At the Springfield Googolplex Theatres, Homer has trouble finding a parking spot of any sort, so after cramming the family into a compact-only spot and having them climb out the windows, they're finally on their way to the box office. While the kids head off to their own film, Homer tries to get himself and Marge two tickets to 'Look Who's Oinking', but since it's sold out he takes Marge's suggestion to go see 'The Stockholm Affair', a top political thriller. Homer won't shut up during the entire thing.
2. Homer gets himself and Marge kicked out of their movie at the Springfield Googolplex.

Answer: False

Bart and Lisa have their own troubles in their theatre; Bart chose to take Lisa to a horror movie. Though she keeps her eyes shut the entire time, Bart only seems to convince her that the coast is clear right at the gruesome parts. In Homer and Marge's theatre, Homer ends up spoiling the spy movie for everyone leading Marge to call him out for his horrible manners.

This, of course, leads to a very tense drive home. When the Simpsons get home, Homer drives off.
3. What is the name of the beer Homer drinks at the Beer 'N' Brawl bar?

Answer: Fudd

Homer decides to drive himself out of town, following billboards for a place called Flaming Pete's for seventy-five miles only to find that the place has recently burnt down. After driving through the smelliest stretch of highway he could possibly come across, he ends up pulling into the parking lot of a redneck bar called The Beer 'N' Brawl. Taking a bottle of Fudd Beer he settles in a the bar as a yodeller takes the stage.
4. What is Lurleen's profession before Homer meets her?

Answer: Waitress

The redneck bar ends up bringing its next act to the stage and it happens to be their waitress, Lurleen Lumpkin, who grabs her guitar for a ditty called "No One Understands You (But I Do)", which just happens to resonate with Homer's current situation (even that part about flipping his pick-up truck off the interstate).

There's no applause from the crowd, but Homer feels the need to compliment her song. He stays at the bar until morning and the song never leaves his head over the next days, keeping him in a good mood.
5. What is the name of the radio station playing country music in Springfield?

Answer: KUDD

Homer ends up returning to Spittle County and visits Lurleen at her trailer in the Royal King Trailer Park to thank her for the earworm song, asking for a CD of her tunes. This is when Lurleen reveals that all of her songs are in her head; she's never recorded them. Homer decides to whisk her off to Springfield to visit a record store that will record anyone's voice on a CD for twenty-five cents.

When it's done, someone asks to take her master to a country radio station. Within days, it's on the airwaves of KUDD Radio.
6. Homer accepts a job as Lurleen's manager.

Answer: True

After the family hears the song, Marge makes it clear that she's angry about Homer spending too much time with Lurleen, especially since, during their last meeting, he spent time in her trailer watching her try on new outfits. He soon heads back to her trailer park and she asks him to be her manager.

There's only one thing he need: an outfit. Lurleen takes him to the Corpulent Cowboy to try on a new country music manager outfit. Unfortunately, when he returns home, Marge is worried Homer is having an affair.
7. Where does Marge meet Lurleen for the first time?

Answer: The recording studio

Lurleen, Homer, and the family head to Hicksville U.S.A., a recording studio, despite Marge's urging that Homer back out of the whole country music deal. Even as Marge is introduced to Lurleen there's clearly a lot of tension (especially since Homer is putting up their life savings), but soon the star is in the recording booth performing her new tune, a song about 'bagging a homer' which, while clearly a metaphor combining baseball with relationships, sets Marge over the edge.

They have to stop recording because the sound of Marge's teeth gritting seems to be carrying over onto the track.
8. What is the name of Lurleen's album?

Answer: 'Love Lurleen'

While Lurleen's name starts appearing on promotional material all around Springfield, the family (sans Marge) puts their best foot forward on getting her records ready. At her trailer, Homer informs his star that he's set her up with a gig on television and they want her to have two songs.

She proposes a new song for her second choice and sings it for him, making it clear that she wants him to spend the night with her. This, of course, creates a bit of a pause, especially since Homer doesn't really get the message from the get-go.
9. What's the name of the TV show Homer books for Lurleen's first televised performance?

Answer: Ya Hoo!

After repeatedly saying the lyrics to her new song ('bunk with me tonight'), Homer finally catches on that Lurleen is propositioning him. Quickly, he flees her trailer, leaving her alone.
The next day, Marge contacts her sisters, worried that she's in a lose-lose situation (either they lose their life savings or she loses Homer). She tries to get Homer's attention and remind him that he has a wonderful family, but he's too distracted; he has to get to the studio to help film 'Ya Hoo!'. While there, a record executive offers to buy Lurleen's contract; Homer refuses outright.
10. How much money does Homer get for unloading Lurleen's contract?

Answer: $50

After Lurleen's first song, Homer congratulates her on the performance and she responds by locking her dressing room door and kissing him. Homer's not into it though; his romantic life flashes before his eyes and he leaves. On the way out, he manages to squander selling off her record deal; he takes the offer of $50 from the executive waiting backstage.

He returns home and hops into bed with Marge just in time to catch the second song on 'Ya Hoo!', a new tune penned in the last minute called 'Stand By Your Manager'.
