Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Best Friends" Who didn't teach Sully to dance, in this or another episode?

Answer: Ingrid

In "Where the Heart Is", Colleen was trying to teach Sully how to dance in his room in trying to impress Michaela in Boston. In "Best Friends" Michaela tried and failed to teach Sully how to dance only for Dorothy to secretly teach Sully how to dance. In the commentary for the episode it was revealed Jane Seymour led Joe Lando.
2. "Mike's Dream A Christmas Tale" Who offered to hide the pregnant woman in her room?

Answer: Dorothy

Robert E signaled for Dr. Mike's help just before the Christmas Party at the church. The patient in the wagon was a pregnant woman in labor needing help. They hid the woman in Robert E's barn and during the episode Michaela saw the ghost of Charlotte Cooper. Back at the church Brian let it slip accidentally to Dorothy that there was a pregnant lady having a baby they needed to hide in the barn. Dorothy told Colleen and Matthew to hide the woman in her room.
3. "Sully's Choice" Who saved Sully's life?

Answer: Colleen and Jake

When Sully, who was unarmed, was trying to stop a raid on a railroad location he was shot in the back by a soldier. Brian ran to get help, getting Matthew and Robert E to find him and attempt to get him to town. They instead hid him in a cave where Colleen was brought, who then relayed to Reverend what supplies she needed.

Hearing Jake and Hank's voices outside the cave Colleen ran outside to get Jake's help who was half dragged into the cave by Colleen. Jake then took the bullet out and Colleen stitched up Sully.
4. "Crossing the Line" Who freed Matthew's leg from under the rock?

Answer: Sully

Matthew was working in a mine with Ingrid's brother Jon when a cave in happened. Jon was helped out by another miner while Matthew was trapped inside, his leg under a rock.
5. "Life and Death" What was Dorothy's son Tom addicted to?

Answer: Morphine

Following an injury in the Civil War, Tom was given morphine and he simply kept taking it even though his injury was completely healed. In a desperate bid to get some more morphine Tom broke and entered the homestead, briefly taking Colleen hostage. Michaela who hated guns fired one shot at the intruder not knowing it was Tom Jennings.

Her Hippocratic Oath forced her to take him to town to fix his leg. With Jake's help she saved it momentarily before ultimately having to amputate it. Tom later worked briefly at Loren's store before he robbed Loren and Dorothy of their cash and leaving town for good.
6. "The Offering" What did the typhus disease infest that was later given to the Cheyenne Indians?

Answer: Blanket

With Michaela's influence Chief Black Kettle accepted the blankets from the Army, which no one knew were infested with typhus. Many Cheyenne Indians died or barely survived. Michaela and Sully had to burn their clothes along with the bodies and other things the infested blankets touched. Sully then heard Wolf barking and ran up to Sully on the reservation who had a note tied to him. Matthew had contracted the typhus virus but thankfully survived.

The Captain of the group of Army men also had typhus who was ordered to distribute the infected blankets.

The Army's thinking was those Indians could turn into dog soldiers but he held no such belief.
7. "The Campaign" How did the women in town have the right to vote?

Answer: Sully sold some land

As women didn't have the right to vote unless they owned property, Sully sold all the women in town a parcel of the land the homestead sat on. Only Michaela had the vote long ago when she officially owned the clinic. The female vote didn't help Michaela win the mayoral election though.
8. "The Man on the Moon" Who was in coma throughout most of the episode?

Answer: Hank

Hank was beyond angry at Myra quitting. At her and Horace's engagement party at Grace's Cafe he showed up drunk and threatening to shoot Myra. Sully, who didn't have his tomahawk, threw a piece of wood at Hank's head but it didn't kill him just knocked him out for a spell.

He refused medical care from Michaela and thus later was found outside the saloon by one of his girls unconscious. Michaela finally treated him but he remained in coma for a short while. At the end of the episode Michaela was speaking to him and was leaving when he faintly said, "Michaela. Michaela."
9. "The Campaign" Who was injured by a patron of the saloon?

Answer: Myra

Sully was just walking by when he heard screaming coming from a room in the saloon. With the partying and going on in the saloon they couldn't hear Myra's screams for help. Sully broke the window saving Myra's life. He carried her out of the saloon just as the patron leapt on his horse fleeing and seconds later was fired upon by Hank who missed.
10. "Crossing the Line" Who helped to unblock the entrance to the mine though he was injured himself?

Answer: Jon

Jon had his arm in a sling but he shouted out either encouragement or orders in his native tongue (I don't understand Swedish). He picked up a tool of some kind and began prying at the rocks causing a despondent Loren to keep trying.
