4. What did the Doctor call the roach-like creatures infesting the house?

Answer: dryads

The insect creatures were dryads. In Greek mythology, a dryad is a tree nymph or spirit, specifically of oak trees. The dryads appeared to be oversized coach roaches. They could rapidly swarm and consume an entire human in a matter of seconds. The dryads had completely infested the house and could suck people into the walls.

Nomads are humans who travel from place to place. Nereids are Greek water nymphs. Kodamas are the Japanese version of tree nymphs.
5. What was the interval between "feedings" by the house in "Knock, Knock"?

Answer: 20 years

The house appeared to need to feed every 20 years, as the Doctor found mementos of tenants from 1957, 1977, and 1997.
6. What was the name of the woman hidden in the tower in "Knock, Knock"?

Answer: Eliza

8. What is the correct order in which Bill's roommates were attacked by the insects in the mansion?

Answer: Pavel, Paul, Felicity, Harry, Shireen

Pavel is attacked first, near the very start of the episode, when he plays some violin music. Paul is next, shortly after Bill tells him she is gay. Felicity is attacked by the trees when wanders outside of the mansion. Harry is eaten by dryads called up by the Landlord using a tuning fork. And Shireen is eaten by dryads while the Doctor is explaining what is going on inside the house.

9. According to Nardole, what had the Doctor added to the vault?

Answer: piano

The strains of "Fur Elise" by Beethoven can be heard playing from inside the vault. Nardole expresses surprise that the Doctor had given the occupant of the vault a piano. The Doctor tells the occupant of the vault that he has Mexican food and stories of students being eaten by bugs, and he is invited in to the strains of "Pop Goes the Weasel".

"Fur Elise" also known as Bagatelle Number 25 in A Minor, was written by Beethoven in 1810, but was not published until 1867, decades after his death. "Pop Goes the Weasel" is an old English folk tune whose first written versions date to the 1850s.

"Knock, Knock" was once again a Nardole-light episode, with the Doctor's assistant appearing only in the last few minutes. He is protecting the vault, a duty that he shares with the Doctor when he's not doing whatever it is Nardole does.
10. Who wrote the "Doctor Who" episode "Knock, Knock"?

Answer: Mike Bartlett

Mike Bartlett wrote "Knock, Knock". His resume includes the 2012 mini-series "The Town" and several episodes of the Suranne Jones drama "Doctor Foster" (2015). Suranne, of course, played Idris/the TARDIS in "The Doctor's Wife" (2011). This is Barrett's first episode of "Doctor Who."

Bill Anderson directed "Knock, Knock" as well as "Thin Ice" for series ten. He has been working as a director in British television since 1996.

Steven Moffat has been the show-runner at "Doctor Who" since 2010. He does hold the record for writing the most episodes of "Doctor Who" but not this one. Moffat announced he would be leaving the show at the end of series ten.

Murray Gold is the musical composer for "Doctor Who", and has been with the show since the reboot in 2005.
