Annie left in the middle of the night and was mistakenly arrested for solicitation.

She actually called Kenny first but he wouldn't come to get her out.

At the Averys', Val had offered to go to the beach with Annie because she had never seen the beach. After Annie and Val leave the police station, Val says there's something she wants to do before they go home. Annie waits while Val frolics in the surf.

Later, when they're getting ready to go to bed, Gary tells Val he knows what he is and he knows he can't take a drink. Sid talks to Annie after she and Val return and then he goes to the garage to work on his car. Karen apologizes to Sid for her behavior and they make up. Sid asks her to go for a ride with him but she wants to compromise by checking out the back seat. After they're done, they do go for a ride in the car.
