Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Frank, do you know what a hero is? Ninety-nine times out of a hundred, he's somebody who's tired enough and cold enough and hungry enough not to give a damn. I don't give a damn." Which regular said that?

Answer: Hawkeye

This is a very touching and profound quote. Hawkeye was trying to convince Frank of coming with him to find the sniper in the episode "The Sniper", explaining to him that it takes more than showing off to be a hero.
2. Sidney: "Is it true that God answers all prayers?" ______: "Yes, but sometimes the answer is no."

Answer: Captain Chandler

One can surely say that this is a logical quote. It was mentioned in "Quo Vadis, Captain Chandler". Captain Chandler was a disturbed soldier who thought that he was Jesus himself. Sydney had a very compassionate look on his face, feeling very sorry for the poor soul.
3. Klinger: "Colonel Potter sir; Corporal Klinger! I'm section 8, head to toe. I'm wearing a ______ bra, I play with dolls, and my last wish is to be buried in my mother's wedding gown. I'm nuts! I should be out!"

Answer: Warner

This is a pretty weird question, right? Actually, that was one of Klinger's first attempts to get a section 8 in Potter's presence. That took place in "Change of Command", right after Potter came.
4. "Father... 'Dear Father'... Father dear father come home with me now. oo-hoo-hoo! Silly Goose!" Who said that?

Answer: Frank

This quote is taken from "Private Charles Lamb". "Silly Goose" was one of his few catchphrases, along with "you guys!", "pheew!", and others.
5. "Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice." Who was the author of that quote?

Answer: Sidney

This quote ranks right up there with the best of them. It was first said in "O.R.", and was mentioned later on in the series. Sidney was simply shocked by the amount of work that the staff has to handle, and the effect it had on them.
6. Rizzo: "Look, the Army hates to see a man ____. Makes 'em feel like they've failed somehow. But moan and groan and carry on and they'll leave you all to your lonesome. Long as they know you're miserable they're happy."

Answer: grin

Rizzo, a fairly anonymous character in the late "MASH" years, was complaining in "April Fools" about some unfair army antics.
7. "I don't think this place is turning out to be that great an experience for me. I mean I work under terrible pressure and everything and there's a lot of death and destruction and stuff but outside of that I don't think I'm really getting much out of it." Who made that hilarious complaint?

Answer: Radar

Radar was pretty frustrated in "Fallen Idol". He was complaining to Hawkeye about the frustrations of being a virgin among other things. Hawkeye then proceeded to give him a piece of advice he would regret...
8. "Are you eating breakfast cereal or is that just a bad telephone line?" That was said by....

Answer: Klinger

A pretty witty quote taken from the mouth of Klinger . Such comments are usually made by Hawkeye or his allies. He said that in "That's Show Biz".
9. Margaret: "I wonder if I could see Colonel Blake." _____: "I wonder if you could, too." Fill in the blank.

Answer: Radar

That exchange took place in "Hot Lips and Empty Arms". Margaret was upset when a friend sends her a picture of her husband (a man she once dated), their children, and their home. She was pretty drunk at that time.
10. "Listen, when you love somebody, you're always in trouble. There are only two things you can do about it: either stop loving 'em, or love 'em a whole lot more." Who gave that ageless advice?

Answer: Potter

This surely is a very wise thing to say indeed. It was one of the pivotal moments in "Goodbye, Farewell, Amen". I hope you enjoyed this quiz!
