Frank "accidentally" stabbed Margaret's finger during a OR session. At the end of the episode the group was in the mess tent. Frank asked Hawkeye to go out on the town with a young new nurse right in front of Margaret.

At the start of the episode Frank was listening to a baseball game which would be replayed later and bet on by many members of the 4077th. A couple of the nurses came to the Swamp asking for Hawkeye's help in lighting their stove. He lit the match and a super flash of light blinded Hawkeye temporarily.

Sidney came for a long visit to the 4077th after losing a patient to suicide. He was writing to Sigmund Freud telling him all about some of the 4077th inhabitants. Sidney discovered that a practical joker was going after some of the inhabitants who turned out to be BJ. BJ told Sidney to shout "Air raid!" at the Swamp causing a panicked Frank to run out and fall into what he thought was an empty foxhole.

Instead he fell into a small pool of water. A bomber pilot got off a local's cart at Rosie's bar when Hawkeye was coming out.

Potter left for Tokyo for a few days of R&R where Mildred was meeting him. After Potter left Sophie was lying down in her stall with an illness. BJ phoned his father-in-law in Oklahoma who was a farmer. Floyd told BJ it was colic and she needed to be cleaned out. Hawkeye had one end of a hose telling BJ, "Hook this up to the spigot up there." "It looks awful high." "You want the other end?" "It's not so high."

Hawkeye found "The Times" crossword puzzle and with the help of the camp they all began filling it only to stop at 38 across' "Yiddish word for bed bug." So Hawkeye called the Essex ship where a friend of his was on board to ask him about 38 across. Except both his friend and an admiral arrived at the camp not knowing it was for a crossword puzzle. During a surprise deluge of patients Tippy and the admiral were helping in the OR and as the two were leaving the admiral gave them the answer.

Hawkeye: "You think there's something wrong with you?"

After Mulcahy came down with hepatitis Hawkeye was charged with examining the camp's inhabitants. When he began his examination of Radar he thought something was wrong with him because he didn't act like the guys he hung out with at Rosie's Bar.

Thanks to Potter and Mulcahy the camp was treated to "My Darling Clementine" for movie night. Every time the film projector went down for any reason the group entertained themselves until it was fixed. Singing "Gee I Wanna Go Home" was one of the entertainments, Radar doing celebrity impressions, the group doing Father Mulcahy impressions.

As a joke Hawkeye and BJ put Penobscott in a body cast from his chest to his toes and told him he broke his leg. At the wedding Penobscott was in a body cast wearing a blue robe and Margaret wearing Klinger's wedding dress.
