Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Episode #171 "Sofa So Good": What is the name of the man who designed Peggy's couch?

Answer: Mary

When Kelly's boyfriend accidentally burns Peggy's couch to a crisp while Peg and Al are away, Kelly searches for a new one. Jefferson tells her that only two models of that couch were made. One was Peggy's and the designer still owns the other one. However, the designer, a man named Mary (pronounced Murray) went insane because the sofa did not sell and moved deep into the woods. Kelly, however, will do anything to get the identical couch.
2. Episode #172 "Honey, I Blew Up Myself": What does Peggy get Al for his birthday?

Answer: A boudoir photo

Peggy decides to take a sexy boudoir photo of herself and give it to Al for his birthday. Al is not pleased because he does not find Peg sexy anymore but lies and says the photo is nice. Al is further dismayed when the boudoir shop, which is located across the way from his shoe store, decides to use Peggy's photo for a billboard. Al, desperate to get the giant photo taken down, aligns with his arch nemesis Marcy.
3. Episode #173 "How Green Was My Apple": When Al and Jefferson get into a fight over an apple, they hire a surveyor to tell them whose property the apple tree is on. Who does the surveyor say it belongs to?

Answer: Marcy and Jefferson

The surveyor (Danny Bonaduce) tells them the Bundy-Darcy property line is very irregular and does not follow the traditional fencing that they have set up. The apple tree belongs to the Darcys. However, Al begins retaking some of his property that had previously thought to belong to the Darcys. This goes back and forth until both families wind up nearly destroying both their houses.
4. Episode #174 "Valentine's Day Massacre": What is the name of the pop singer whom Bud tries to connect with on Valentine's Day?

Answer: Crystal Brooks

Bud is disappointed that it is yet another Valentine's Day where he does not have a date. However, Kelly tells that he actually did have a date one time. She forgot to give him a message from a girl who wanted to see him on Valentine's Day many years ago. The girl is now Crystal Brooks, a famous pop star who is in town for a concert. Bud tries desperately to get into her hotel room to see her.

Meanwhile, Al forgot it was Valentine's Day and now must battle other husbands to pick up overpriced, last minute gifts for Peggy.
5. Episode #175 "Get Outta Dodge": When the Dodge Corporation offers Al a new Dodge Viper if they can film his current car reach one million miles, does Al ever get the car?

Answer: No

Peggy forces Al to sell the Dodge because it is falling apart and has too many miles. Al is contacted by Dodge who offers him a new Dodge Viper if he lets the company film the odometer reach one million miles. Al agrees. However, with the car at 999,999 miles, Al gets behind the wheel while the car is in the garage.

He wants to be ready for the film crew the next morning. However, he falls asleep and accidentally puts the car in drive. The Dodge passes the one million mark without the camera crew so Al loses the new car.
6. Episode #176 "Field of Screams": Al stages a one-man protest against the destruction of his high school football field at Polk High. What ultimately saves the field?

Answer: A rare bug has moved into the field

Al is dismayed to learn his old football field is being torn down to make way for a car lot. He chains himself to the goalpost to prevent its destruction. However, the company is determined to knock it down anyway. Meanwhile, Kelly is in charge of some very poisonous bug from her stint as the Verminator. One of these bugs accidentally gets loose when she visits Al and thus the field cannot be destroyed.
7. Episode #177 "The D'Arcy Files": When Al is propositioned by a man demanding to know Jefferson's location for $50,000, does Al tell him where Jefferson is?

Answer: No

Jefferson confides in Al that he is a former spy and someone is after him: a man named Walter Troggett. Troggett tracks down Al and offers him a reward if he tells him where Jefferson is. Al remains a steadfast friend to Jefferson and passes the opportunity.

While watching a football game with Jefferson, it is announced on air that Al is trying to contact Troggett about Jefferson. Jefferson is furious and threats to kill Al. Al denies doing any such thing but Jefferson reveals it all as an elaborate April Fools Day joke.
8. Episode #178 "Nooner or Nothing": What prize does Peggy ultimately win for participating on the radio game show?

Answer: Concert tickets

Peggy participates in a radio game show where women try to get their husbands to do embarrassing things. Peggy fails to get Al to singer her a love song and to call her breasts by their special nickname. She is then given the opportunity to trick Al into coming home from work for sex to win a vacation.

However, Al is too busy to bother (and doesn't know Peg is on a game show). Al fails to show up in time and Peggy is given the consolation prize of concert tickets for a band Kelly and Bud have spent all episode in line trying to get tickets for and failed to do.
9. Episode #179 "Ride Scare": When Al is forced to carpool to work, who does he ride with?

Answer: Plus-sized models

Because of Marcy's Go Green Initiative, Al is forced to carpool to work. He is assigned to drive with plus-sized models from Victoria's Big Secret. Al is not thrilled with this situation but quickly comes to love it when he and the models become citywide campaigners for the environment and the carpooling initiative.
10. Episode #180 "The Legend of Ironhead Haynes": Al and his NO MA'AM friends seek out Ironhead Haynes for his manly wisdom. Where does Ironhead Haynes live?

Answer: A mountaintop

Al loses his parking spot at the mall for insulting an overweight woman. Al and his friends discuss how everything is too politically correct to the point that they cannot insult fat people anymore. They seek out the wisdom of Ironhead Haynes, the manliest man who ever lived, for advice. Haynes (Waylon Jennings) lives on top of a mountain and dispenses terrible advice but he remains idolized anyway.
