While Steve is away is at a convention to eliminate the penny, Marcy is approached by two men who say they can repave her driveway for cheap. Al tells her it's a scam but Marcy fights back saying that women know things about construction. However, it does turn out to be a scam. Faced with the reality that Al was right, Marcy cannot get him out of her head.

She starts dreaming about Al at night, including going to bed with him. She also has dreams where Steve suddenly appears as Al.

Answer: No

Gary was believed to have died in a plane crash but actually survived in a miracle. Al sent an expensive basket of flowers but they were donated and Al never got recognition. He demands that Gary meet with him at the shoe store otherwise he will quit. When Gary never shows, Al follows through on his promise. However, Al finds unemployment unbearable and hires a man to play Gary so he can go back to work.

Oddly in future episodes, Al does meet Gary who happens to be a woman (played by Janet Carroll) and no one mentions anything about the man Al hired. Even odder is that the real Gary is mentioned to be a man several times in this episode.

Answer: Buck is sick

Al and Peggy's favorite burger joint, Johnny Be Goode's, is closing and they have tickets for the final evening. However, they are constantly being delayed by a series of events. Marcy is hosting her bosses in the hopes of getting a promotion. She goes to the Bundys to pick up her dinner, a large fish, she was storing there.

The fish gets ruined and lands on Marcy's dress. Marcy, not wanting her bosses to see her a mess, has to use the Bundys' washing machine and dryer but the dress shrinks. Meanwhile, Kelly is upset because her friends are having a party without her. Peggy calls Kelly's friends and has her invited but this only upsets Kelly more. Also, Bud is competing in a remote-control car derby and Al has to fix his car like he promised.

Answer: Dumpwater

Al's decision to take the family to Dumpwater, Florida disappoints everyone who was hoping for a more exciting vacation. Unbeknownst to the Bundys, their hotel is terrorized by an ax murderer who only kills tourists. The locals take bets on what time the Bundys will be killed. Meanwhile, the family is having a miserable time with lack of amenities and things to do.

Answer: The Man Who Met Andy Griffith

The Bundys cannot escape Dumpwater because the bridge is out. The locals, including the sheriff, are of no help in matter and they much prefer the Bundys get murdered. The killer captures Peggy at one point, which leads Al to save her and capture him.

The killer is revealed to be a local man who once met Andy Griffith. The man is the main attraction in town other than serial killer. Because of this, the townspeople let him go.

Answer: Nothing

Steve receives a promotion to bank manager. Al picks him up from work one day and the two "gamble" with the money and gold in the vault. The next day, Steve announces that a million dollars is missing and blames Al. Both Al and Steve jokingly said they wanted to take the money and run but they ultimately did not do so.

In the end, it is revealed that the money never actually disappeared. There was an international delay in the system which caused the money look like it disappeared.

Answer: He impregnates every female dog in the neighborhood

Buck keeps escaping through the hole in the fence Al said he would fix but never did. Buck winds up impregnating every female dog in the neighborhood. One of these dog's owner says he will sue the Bundys unless they have Buck neutered. Everyone thinks it is a good idea except for Al who feels having Buck neutered would emasculate him.

Answer: Zorro

Marcy gets into a fight with Steve after she sees Steve and Al ogle an attractive repairwoman. Peggy and her friends take Marcy to a male strip club where Marcy is initially embarrassed to be seen at. However, she loosens up and winds up dancing with and giving money to a stripper dressed as Zorro.

She winds up losing her wedding ring down his pants when she shoved dollar bill down them.

Answer: Yes

Marcy writes to the dancer and hopes he will find and return her wedding ring. Not wanting Steve to find out what she did, she gives Zorro Peggy's address. However, Zorro winds up returning the ring in person to Al. Al tells Steve what happened and gives him the ring to give back to Marcy. Steve feels guilty about how he wanted Marcy to feel bad and hands her the ring in the envelope without saying what it is or where it came from.

However, when they snuggle at night he says "so you lost your ring down Zorro's pants?"

Answer: We never find out

All four members of the Bundy family claim they never made the phone call to Vancouver and Al believes everyone. However, the phone company refuses to take the call off the bill and cuts off the service when Al refuses to play. This drives Kelly insane as she is always on the phone with her friends.

It also has an effect on Steve and Marcy as the Bundys now run their calls to through them.
