Answer: Peg's father runs off with another woman

Peggy begs Al to take her to marriage counseling along with her parents. Al agrees only to get his mother-in-law out of his house. The marriage therapist turns out to be clueless but Al steps in and helps all the other couples at the marriage retreat. Just when he thinks he has reunite his in-laws, Ephraim announces that he has fallen in love with an attractive young woman who is married to a very old man. The two run off to Europe together.

Meanwhile, Kelly begins to date Carlos (Mark Espinoza) whom she cannot get to even kiss her. Bud goes on a date with Esmeralda, Carlos' cousin who is becoming a nun the next day.

Answer: Griff

It's Christmastime and Al demands that either Peggy or her mother get a job to pay for Peg's mother's expenses. Unbeknownst to anyone, Peg's mother gets a job as a phone sex operator named Butter. Al gives Griff a gift card to the same company and Griff falls in love with Butter.

When Al discovers the truth, he and the family hide the fact from Griff and all of Al's friends since they are Butter's best customers. When Griff wants to meet with Butter, Peg takes over to break it off.

Answer: An exercise video

Kelly tells Bud she will find another agent if he doesn't get her any decent roles. Bud decides to make his own exercise video and star Kelly in it. However, none of the banks will give him a loan so he is forced to borrow money from a mobster. When Kelly and the male lead Raphael get into a fight, it threatens the video and Bud's life since if the video is not made, the mobster will kill Bud.

Meanwhile, Al and Jefferson struggle to build a simple satellite dish on Al's roof with hilarious results.

Answer: Betting on which husband will fall off the roof

The men keep falling off of the roof while trying to install the satellite dish. The wives decide to bet on which husband will fall next and where they will fall.

Meanwhile, Bud continues to struggle to get Kelly and Raphael to agree on which music to dance to while the mobster grows antsy.

Answer: Crystal

Bud, who is in a rivalry with another student named Floyd, decides that he will create a "Girls of Trumaine" calendar for his business class project. Al and Floyd's father, who is a rival of Al's, invest in the calendar so it can go national. Bud secures Crystal Clark as one of the girls featured. Crystal is the most beautiful and popular girl at Trumaine but she has a secret the threatens the calendar.

Beginning with this episode until the end of the season, Peggy only makes infrequent appearances due to Katey Sagal's pregnancy. Peggy's absence is explained that she is traveling around the world looking for her father who ran off a few episodes earlier.

Answer: Jefferson

It is Marcy and Jefferson's anniversary and Marcy has told Jefferson to stay away from Al so as not to ruin their day. Jefferson ignores her and goes to the strip club with Al and the rest of his friends. While there, Jefferson realizes that he is lacking a gift for Marcy.

He decides to get a tattoo that reads "I Love Marcy" on his butt. But the tattoo artist is drunk and misspells Marcy as Mary. Jefferson know has to hide the tattoo, which is still painful, from Marcy the entire evening.

Answer: Fort Lauderdale

Bud and his nerdy friends have secured tickets to Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale. However, Kelly and her friends trick the guys into giving them their tickets. With Kelly and her friends in Florida, Bud and his are stuck in Chicago during a blizzard. Meanwhile, Al and Griff decide to go to Fort Lauderdale with Jefferson. Jefferson's former fraternity is sponsoring the local Miss Spring Break Pageant. Jefferson told Marcy he was attending computer camp.

When she discovers he is actually in Florida partying with attractive women, Marcy drives Bud and his friends to Fort Lauderdale with revenge on their minds.

Answer: I would like to save the Earth and the Ozone layer

Kelly enters the Miss Spring Break Pageant and her friends try to help her prepare. One of them warns her about the final question and advises her to say "I would like to save the Earth and the Ozone layer". Kelly gives that response to her question even though the answer doesn't make any sense. Meanwhile, Jefferson has replaced two of the judges with Al and Griff, guaranteeing Kelly will win the pageant and the $100,000.

Answer: Al's Dodge

Marcy's boss Mr. Shimokawa (Pat Morita) is visiting from Japan. While having dinner with the Darcys, Mr. Shimokawa notices Al's Dodge next door. He is a collector of American junk cars and wants the Dodge. He tasks Marcy to secure the purchase and she will be promoted if successful. However, Al proves stubborn and passes up large amounts of money for the Dodge.

Answer: Carlos

Al has to build a doghouse for Lucky so the dog can sleep outside at night. Kelly has another date with Carlos, the man who wouldn't even kiss her in a previous episode. Kelly vows to attract his attention this time and spends the day at the spa. Carlos comes to visit Kelly and spends the afternoon with Al, helping him build the doghouse. Meanwhile, Marcy is busy working from home and asks Al to not be so loud while constructing the doghouse. Annoying by Al's antics, Marcy calls the permit inspector who keeps finding ridiculous and frustrating ways of stopping Al.
