Thelma: "There's nothing more I love than making a hearty nutritious meal for my family. Go get the syrup, powdered sugar and jelly." But Naomi was up for an award at Food Circus so Vint and Naomi ran out of the house to get ready leaving the waffles behind.

Bubba sweet talked Thelma into giving him $20 so he could rent a computer at school for a report. She gave him the money and tried to get him to sit down and have breakfast but Bubba ran out the door to rent the computer.

Her electric bill was always $50.59 but her newest bill showed it was $70.59. I wish I could have a bill that low!

Thelma was busy talking to Tri-State Power about the error in the bill and forgot to get Naomi's dress out of the dryer so it was a mass of wrinkles. Thelma laid out the dress on the ironing board while Iola began to fill the iron. Right then Tri-State Power phoned and insisted on her paying the bill. Thelma flatly refused to pay and seconds later the power was cut off.

Naomi certainly didn't look like her normal self. Her hair was a mess, clothes didn't match and she didn't have good makeup on.

Everyone held their fish sticks on their forks above the candles to get them reheated.

Thelma was reminded of her time with the Campfire Girls then she told the family of the time of the Ray River Flood. She, her parents and siblings went to the Tritchell family. Mrs. Tritchell and Mother Harper made a meal fit for a king while Mr. Tritchell and Mr. Harper played music.

Naomi began to play the piano after finding "By the Light of the Silvery Moon". Bubba went to work on his report using the typewriter. Iola thought, "Oh Thelma, just think we wouldn't have this warm family moment if you hadn't refused to repay the electric bill." Naomi banged on the keys and the others began to crowd her.

Thelma: "Right now, you all probably want to kill me but..." She blew out all the candles, "You're gonna have to catch me first!"

Bubba: "Grandma, what are you doing?"

Naomi and Vint came in the back door with coffee and doughnuts much to Thelma's delight. Seconds later, her percolator started up and Gus the meter man handed her a letter from Tri-State Power. Gus told her she was right that there was an error in her bill. The letter, however, stated they were charging her $50.00 reconnect fee. She grabbed her purse and the letter,
Thelma: "I'm going down to Tri-State Power and punch their lights out!"
