Cyril participated in the boxing tournament organised by McManus. The final match between Cyril and Khan was to take place without an audience, since the Warden wanted to avoid the race war that had been brewing between the Aryans and the Muslims. But Ryan had a bigger problem: he had been spiking Cyril's opponents' water with chloral hydrate, procured from the hospital ward, but the inmate supplying him had refused to supply anymore. So after a visit from their father, Ryan decided to get Cyril as angry as possible so he would then unleash his rage upon his opponant.

He shouted, "Dad, think of Dad!" all the way through the match. Cyril went berserk on Hamid Khan, putting him in a coma. When Ryan told Cyril later on that Khan was a vegetable, Cyril then says this quote.

Cyril is put in Unit B with Vern Schillinger. Schillinger uses Cyril's slowness and desire to see his brother in order to rape him. When Ryan finally does find Cyril in the cafeteria and tells Cyril to keep away from Schillinger, Cyril thinks he 'did a bad thing'. Vern then taunts Ryan, saying he gave Cyril 'the royal welcome'. Ryan automatically guesses what has happened, and so gets Cyril to punch him in full view of the CO's.

He does this so Cyril will be sent to 'The Hole' away from Schillinger until he can find a way to get his brother transferred to Em City.

Jack comes to Oz to do an exposé on the prison population. Part of his piece is to spend a night locked in a cell with an inmate. That inmate was supposed to be Omar White, but Ryan (stirring up trouble as usual), told White that Eldridge had called him a derogatory name. White then attacked Eldridge and was put in Ad Seg. Cyril is chosen as the 'lucky' inmate instead. Eldridge then tries to interview Cyril, during which Cyril tells him that Ryan tells him to take his medication, but some days he doesn't, 'like today'.

This makes Eldridge nervous as he has been made aware of Cyril's outbursts. Cyril then starts to remember that Eldridge had interviewed him and Ryan when they were teenagers and that the interview had upset his mother. Then he remembers that she died of cancer shortly afterwards, and comes to the conclusion that Eldridge had been the cause of her cancer.

He starts attacking Jack, all the while shouting, 'You gave my Mom cancer!'. Cyril is then taken away and the story is scrapped.

Suzanne is introduced in season 4 as Ryan's biological mother. She soon takes Cyril under her wing when Ryan introduces the two of them and he gives her a flower he made out of folded paper. Over the course of the season, Suzanne is doing her community service as a singing teacher in Oz and teaches Cyril to sing (albeit rather badly).

As she is so kind to him, he offers Ryan a trade - Ryan can have his boxing gloves if he can have Suzanne. Ryan then chuckles at his brother's logic and tell him that he can keep his gloves AND he'll share his mom with him. This scene between the brothers is one of my personal favourites, Cyril is so adorable here!

After stabbing inmate Li Chen to death while defending Ryan, Cyril is convicted of murder and sent to Death Row. During the trial, Cyril is confused and frightened and doesn't understand what is going on. So Sister Pete gives him a sock puppet to help him cope (and to possibly show just how childlike he is) which he names Jericho 'because the walls came tumbling down'.

However, he starts to exhibit an alarming attatchment to it, as well as signs of Disassociative Identity Disorder (similar to schizophrenia).

When the puppet 'talks', Cyril uses the voice he had prior to his assault, which is much deeper and huskier than the voice he has in Oz.

Cyril is granted a 'stay' just before the switch is pulled. Governor Devlin has ordered that Cyril receive electroconvulsive therapy in order to appear 'normal' enough to execute, so Ryan decides that his method of execution should be the electric chair.

This way Cyril can be convinced that the chair is just a 'special session' of his ECT. He is so unaware of what is going on around him that he actually helps one of the CO's strap him into the chair, which causes Father Mukada to look tearful.
