1. What is Peter Marie's surname?

Answer: Reimondo

Sister Peter Marie Reimondo is the prison psychiatrist in Oz. She became a nun later in life, after the death of her husband. Despite being small, female and a nun, she manages to command respect from even the most hardened of criminals.

Answer: Gloria is overseeing an execution and Tim is unhappy

Tim and Gloria go on a few dates and things appear to be going well. At the same time, Governor Devlin has reinstated the death penalty, amidst much controversy. Tim invites Gloria to dinner, but she tells him she can't, as she is due to be the medical consultant at an execution. Tim is angry at this and at the fact that Gloria didn't tell him, and he becomes quite aggressive, effectively ending their relationship.

Miguel and his girlfriend severely beat an elderly man after he accidentally scratches Miguel's car. He is also charged with criminal mischief in the second degree. Although he is given a 15 year sentence, he will be up for parole in just two years.

Bob meets a business contact for a meeting at a restaurant. When Bob produces his latest blueprints, the business associate derides the drawings and screws them up. In a fit of rage, Bob grabs a fork and stabs the man in the neck before rescuing his blueprints and trying to smooth them back out.

Answer: Kevin "Supreme Allah" Ketchum

Augustus was wanted on a drug warrant, and is sold out by fellow drug dealer, Supreme Allah, in return for leniency on his own charges. Augustus is unaware of this until season 4, when Burr Redding is sent to Oz and tells Augustus to be wary of Supreme. Augustus and Supreme have a volatile relationship from this point onwards. Eventually, things escalate to such a point that Augustus arranges for Supreme's food to be spiked with eggs - a food he is deathly allergic to - resulting in his death from anaphylactic shock.

Beecher has twice before been arrested for drunk driving when he has this accident. Refusing to enter into a plea bargain, Beecher believes he will be able to win the case and go free. The judge, however, decides to make an example of Beecher, given his background in law, and sentences him to the maximum term of 15 years. Beecher is confronted by Mrs Rockwell in season 1, but is unable to even speak to her, due to a combination of his shame, and the fact that he is high on heroin. He later meets the Rockwells again prior to his parole hearing, where he apologises, and they tell him they are learning to live with the death of their daughter. They tell Beecher that they will not interfere with the hearing.

Answer: Conspiracy to commit murder

Although Schillinger has committed all the crimes listed above, he is sentenced for paying CO Dianne Whittlesey to murder Tobias Beecher. Whittlesey lets him believe that she will commit the crime, when in fact she has reported Schillinger to the Warden. Schillinger was initially sent to Oz in 1992, after beating a black drug dealer who was trying to sell drugs to Schillinger's sons. Drugs are one of the only things Schillinger hates as much as he does non-white people, so to find his children being targeted pushed him to extreme measures.

Goodson Truman became Kareem Said when he changed religions and became a Muslim. Prior to this, it was implied that he came from a Christian family, as his sister is a reverend. Kareem's sister still call him Goodson. Kevin Ketchum is Supreme Allah's real name. Arnold Jackson is better known as Poet, and Raymond Browne is Mondo Browne's true name.

Answer: Murder in the first degree

Adebisi is sent to Oz after murdering an undercover policeman with a machete. Adebisi is originally from Nigeria, and moves to the USA around 15 years before his arrest. Despite the length of time he has spent in the States, he still has a strong Nigerian accent. Not much else is known about his life before Oz, other than the fact that he either has or had a wife.

Tobias is a perfect example of prison (supposed to punish people for bad behavior) only making someone worse. In the span of eight episodes he goes from an abused rape victim to an apathetic heroin addict to a fearless raving lunatic.

Said was eventually exiled from the Muslims for his relationship with her.

When Governor Devlin announces that he is banning conjugal visits, all the married prisoners immediately sign up for one last visit. As Peter Marie is in charge of arranging the visits, her office is swamped with applicants. She passes out pencils and clipboards and warns the prisoners that if any pencils go missing, or are used as weapons, everybody's visits will be cancelled.

Cyril hides in the back seat of Preston's car. When Preston gets into the driver's seat, Cyril reaches around and strangles him with a cord. Cyril later states that he had to make sure he didn't look into Preston's eyes, or he wouldn't have been able to go through with the murder.

Miguel is stabbed before he can even be taken to his cell. We see much of the first episode through the eyes of Tobias Beecher and this attack is the first of many terrifying events in the prison. Rebadow is sentenced to die in the electric chair but just as his execution begins, a massive blackout cuts all power to the prison, saving his life. He is sent to hospital for treatment for the injuries he has sustained during the failed attempt and by the time he is recovered, the death penalty has been abolished. His sentence is commuted to life imprisonment, with no possibility of parole.

During Chris' arrest, he is chased by police whilst he is on a motorcycle. The chase eventually ends with him falling from his bike, and breaking his arm. Far from being a handicap, he uses the cast to his advantage, breaking the nose of an Aryan inmate during a staged argument.

The O'Reily brothers are the exception because the letter 'O' looks too much like a zero, so the 'O' in O'Reily is substituted with the letter P. #97P904 is Ryan O'Reily, #98K514 is Chris Keller, and #97B412 is Tobias Beecher.

Answer: He is thrown from a rooftop by a police officer.

After receiving information about Augustus' whereabouts, the police burst into his apartment whilst he is making love to his wife. Augustus grabs his gun, then flees - naked - out the window, and is pursued across the nearby rooftops. He fires his gun and hits a police officer. The other officers retaliate by apprehending him, handcuffing him, then throwing him from the rooftop. As well as receiving life imprisonment, Augustus is also forced to spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair.

Ryan ran this street gang which committed violent crimes, vandalism, and drug deals. His brother Cyril acted as Ryan's lieutenant until he suffered from brain damage. A number of characters are familiar with the Bridge Street gang, suggesting they had quite a prolific reputation.

Beecher is initially assigned to Adebisi's pod, and is understandably intimidated by him. Adebisi, who is considerably physically stronger than him, implies that he will rape Beecher at some point. When Beecher meets the seemingly pleasant Schillinger, he is thrilled when Schillinger suggests Beecher be moved into his cell instead. Unfortunately for Beecher, he has moved out of the frying pan and into the fire, and it's not long before Schillinger begins to rape him, as well as branding a swastika into Beecher's buttock.

Answer: She married a Jewish man.

Schillinger is extremely racist and is very upset that his sister, who apparently doesn't share his extreme beliefs, has married a Jewish man. We briefly see her in the later seasons of the show, and we also meet his father, Heinrich, and his two sons, Hank and Andrew. All three men share Schillinger's racist outlook. Schillinger also had a wife, Arlene, who he loved very much, but who passed away some years before the events of the show.

Huseni is a young Muslim who is sent to Oz after murdering a Hasidic Jew. He joins Kareem's congregation, but immediately begins to question him, and challenge his leadership. Kareem is diagnosed with hypertension and refuses to take any medication, wishing to keep his mind clear from drugs. This leads to him suffering a heart attack in his cell. Huseni witnesses this, but leaves Kareem to die, in hopes of taking over leadership. When Kareem survives, and Huseni's betrayal is revealed, he is shunned by the other prisoners and eventually takes his own life.

Ryan O'Reilly and Adebisi begin to spike Nino's food with ground glass, whilst they are working in the kitchens. Over time, the glass damages Nino's internal organs, and he dies after hemorrhaging all over his body. Nino saw promise in Adebisi, and wanted to make him a partner in the drug trade, but Ryan and Adebisi wanted to remove Nino from the trade altogether, in order to maximise their own profits.
