Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things"- How did the Winchesters come across the supernatural case of Angela Mason?

Answer: they visited their mom's grave site

Neither Ellen or Jo appeared in this episode. Sam wanted to visit Mary's grave, and insisted Dean drive him there. Dean wouldn't go near her headstone, but took some time to look around the cemetery. While Dean discovered the dead vegetation around Angela's grave, Sam buried his father's dog tags.

He told his mother he thought John would have wanted her to have them. The location of Lawrenceville was never mentioned, so I cannot swear that was where Angela died in the car accident, but I assume Mary Winchester was buried where she died.
2. "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things"- Which person in Angela's life put the necromancy literature on her casket lid?

Answer: Neil

Sam and Dean dug up Angela's grave. The men discovered her body was missing from the casket, but there was writing on its lid. Dean copied the text and confronted her father about it. It was clear the professor was in the dark, and possibly suspected the brothers were crazy.

It turned out Neil, Angela's confidant and her father's teaching assistant, used necromancy text to awaken her after she was buried. Unfortunately for Neil, the reanimated Angela was a vicious and vindictive creature. Tamara Feldman played Angela. Jared Keeso played Angela's ex-boyfriend Matt, whom she murdered. Chris Jacot played Neil, whom she also murdered. Serge Houde played her father, Dr. Mason, and Leela Savasta played her traitorous roommate Lindsay.
3. "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things"- Angela killed both Matt and Neil. Which of these explains their respective deaths?

Answer: Matt- throat cut; Neil- broken neck

After she came back, Angela's zombie was eager for vengeance. She targeted Matt, her ex-boyfriend, in his home. We found out a bit after the event that his throat was cut. Later, after the Winchesters convinced Neil she was dangerous, she broke his neck.

She tried to kill Lindsay as well, but Dean saved her. It turned out that Angela had caught her roommate Lindsay and her boyfriend Matt engaged in a sexual liaison. She was so upset she later wrecked her car and was killed.
4. "Simon Said"- Who did Sam have a vision of, in which he saw the person kill a man named Dennis?

Answer: Dr. Jennings

Dr. Jennings walked into a gun store, greeted the clerk who knew him, and inquired about a shotgun. This surprised the man, whose name was Dennis, but he handed him the rifle. Then, he pulled out the shells. Dr. Jennings loaded the gun (an illegal action), shot Dennis, and then shot himself. Sam and Dean were able to stop this event, but not the death of Dr. Jennings.
5. "Simon Said"- What happened right before Holly Beckett set herself on fire?

Answer: she received a phone call

Both Dr. Jennings and Holly received calls on their cellphones. This was seen by Sam in both visions. It turned out that Dr. Jennings and Holly were both connected to Andy Gallagher, another person with special abilities like Sam.
6. "Simon Said"- How was Holly Beckett connected to Andy and Anson?

Answer: she was their birth mother

Dr. Jennings had helped Holly arrange for the adoption of her twin sons. She was 18 when they were born, and six months later Andy's adoptive mother was killed just like Mary Winchester. Andy and Sam were the same age when their mothers died, and the same age now (born in 1983). Both Andy and Anson (known to Andy as Webber) had the ability to persuade people using their minds. Anson's advantage over Andy was that he had practiced more, and did not have to speak his commands aloud.
Elias Toufexis played Anson "Webber" Williams, and Gabriel Tigerman played his twin Andy Gallagher.
7. "Simon Said"- Before Sam and Dean left Ellen and Jo at the roadhouse the first time, Jo played a song on the jukebox. What band performed her pick "Can't Fight This Feeling"?

Answer: REO Speedwagon

Jo was trying to send Dean a hint about wanting him, but he had to leave. If you did not know the band's name, Dean said the name aloud to Jo. Later, Dean admitted to Jo he was a bit scared of Ellen, as well as not wanting to mix business and pleasure. The song first came out in 1985.
8. "Simon Said"- Andy was able to get Dean's Impala away from him.

Answer: True

Sam followed Dr. Jennings, and Dean followed Andy. When Andy's van stalled out in front of Dean, Andy got out and "persuaded" Dean to give him the Impala. The Winchesters recovered the '67 Impala later, as Andy had parked it and left the keys inside.
9. "Simon Said"- According to Dean, what did the men find inside Andy's van?

Answer: Moby Dick's bong

Dean pulled out this huge water bong from the back of Andy's van. There was a disco ball hanging inside as well, but no comment was made about it specifically. Sam commented on several book titles, and noted that they were heavy reading. Later, Anson/Webber remarked on Andy's intelligence, so obviously Andy was a smart guy.
10. "Simon Said"- Did Andy shoot his twin to save Tracy and Dean?

Answer: Yes

Anson confessed to Andy that it was the "man with the yellow eyes" who told him about being a twin. This confirmed Sam's theory about the demon using the people with special powers. Anson killed off the people who'd separated them, and wanted to kill Tracy because she cared about Andy.

In his own mind, he was trying to keep Andy all to himself. When Anson realized Dean had a rifle on him from a distance, he used his power to have Dean place the rifle under his own chin. Andy had to shoot Anson to save Dean from the rifle and to save Tracy from jumping off the bridge.
