"Born Under a Bad Sign" had a demon possessing Sam. "All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1" and "All Hell Breaks Loose Part 2" had demons controlled by Ava and the yellow-eyed demon.

Dean revealed at the beginning of "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" that Mary was not really buried in the cemetery since there was nothing left to bury after the fire.

Buffalo was not featured in season 2. It is in episodes of seasons 3 and 5. Each of the other places were settings in season 2. "Playthings" was set in Cornwall, "Hunted" was in Lafayette, "Croatoan" was in River Pass, "No Exit" was in Philadelphia, "The Usual Suspects" was in Baltimore, "Heart" was in San Francisco, and "All Hell Breaks Loose Parts 1 and 2 were in Cold Oak.

Jared injured his hand when filming the scene where a vampire knocks him out with a phone in the hotel room in ""Bloodlust". The writers then wrote it into the next episode, having Sam say the zombie had broken his hand at the end of "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things."

This is one of many episodes where the brothers settled an argument with "rock, paper, scissors". Usually, Sam would win, since Dean tended to throw scissors and Sam tended to throw rock.

Henrickson was not in "The Usual Suspects" or "Born Under a Bad Sign." The first time the audience saw Henrickson was in "Nightshifter," but Dean only spoke to him on the phone during that episode. It iwas not until the brothers were arrested in Little Rock in "Folsom Prison Blues" that there was a face-to-face meeting between the brothers and the agent.

There were six episodes that included the roadhouse. "Everybody Loves a Clown" had the brothers going there and meeting Ellen, Jo and Ash for the first time. In "Bloodlust," viewers got a glimpse of it when Sam talked to Ellen on the phone. In "Simon Said," the brothers went there to get help tracking down one of Sam's visions at the beginning of the episode and then returned there to meet with Ellen and Jo at the end. Similarly, "No Exit" began and ended at the road house. "Hunted" found Sam getting help from Ash at the roadhouse and Ellen on the phone to Dean from there. Finally, "All Hell Breaks Loose Part 1 had a scene with Ash on the phone from there. Later in that episode we saw the remains of the destroyed roadhouse.
