"South Park" - "Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo" Quiz

After the choir sings "We Wish You a Merry Christmas", Stan introduces the scene where Jesus is about to be born. Wendy is seen as Mary, while Kyle is Joseph and Kenny is an angel. As Mr. Garrison instructs Kyle to hold the baby from the legs and not the head, Mrs. Broflovski interrupts, arguing that their family doesn't celebrate Christmas and that Kyle shouldn't play Joseph because he's Jewish.

Wendy encourages Stan to catch snowflakes with his tongue, so everyone starts doing it as well. When Kenny tries to do it, a bird defecates in his mouth... how gross! Meanwhile, Kyle tries to catch a snowflake as well, but Cartman interrupts him, telling him that "Jewish people can't eat Christmas snow", and Stan adds that he thinks "it's against the law". To clear it up, Kyle asks Officer Barbrady if it's illegal for Jews to eat Christmas snow, and Barbrady responds with "yeah"!

Some of the lyrics of Kyle's song include "it's hard to be a Jew on Christmas, I can't sing Christmas songs or decorate a Christmas tree". As Kyle sings, he walks around the town of South Park, where he sees his friends laughing while talking to Santa, as well as many Christmas trees and decorations.

The Mayor of South Park receives complaints about a lot of topics from many groups of people. First, some people are angry about the portrayal of The Nativity on the school play because Church and State should be separate entities. Then, Mrs. Broflovski points out that it is insensitive to the Jewish community, but people pay little attention to her.

A group of religious people then say that The Nativity is the essence of Christmas, and getting rid of it would also imply getting rid of "Santa and all of that garbage".

Another group calls for the stop of tree-cutting for Christmas trees. Finally, Uncle Jimbo (Stan's uncle) stuns the crowd when he complains about the "little flaps on coffee lids", arguing that "if you don't want to spill your coffee, you shouldn't be driving with it." The crowd takes some time to process what they just heard, and then they agree!

Answer: Mexicans

Kyle suggests that the new icon for Christmas be Mr. Hankey the Christmas Poo, who comes out of the toilet each year and gives gifts to people who have a lot of fiber in their diet. His parents then drag him away.

When everybody seems to be happy, Mr. Garrison asks: "could we get rid of all the Mexicans", to which the Mayor replies with a no.

Answer: Kyle's brother is set on fire

Kyles father refers to Mr. Hankey as "sick and disgusting", and forces him to say "there is no such thing as Mr. Hankey" twice. As Kyle angrily heads to his room, following orders from his dad to brush his teeth, he points out that his brother Ike, who was playing with a dreidel and accidentally knocked the menorah, is on fire, grabbing the attention of both their parents.

Answer: Howdy Ho!

Kyle hears the voice and wants it to go away, but as the voice comes back, he sees Mr. Hankey jump out of the toilet. Kyle explains that his dad thinks Mr. Hankey isn't real, so the Christmas poo starts singing loudly and jumping around the bathroom to prove Kyle's dad wrong. When Mr. Broflovski enters the bathroom, he finds Kyle holding poo in his hand, and poo all over the bathroom. He asks the poo to speak, but it does nothing. Kyle is sent to his bedroom to think about what he did. In Kyle's bedroom, Mr. Hankey appears again, and suggests the boy to wear socks to sleep to avoid catching a cold. They agree that they will go together to school the next day to prove Mr. Hankey is real.

Mr. Hankey always greets whoever he's with using the words "Howdy Ho". He even mentions them twice in his song!

Answer: A John Elway football helmet

Stan says that he knows he is getting Denver Broncos' John Elway's football helmet because he looked in his parents' closet. Cartman says he looked too and saw an "Ultravibe Pleasure 2000", though he doesn't know what it is. Kyle then appears and brings what he calls a surprise in a box.

It turns out to be poo, and Cartman asks if it's some kind of Jewish tradition. Kyle tries to make it dance, but he fails to do so.

Answer: Mr. Mackey

Mr. Garrison tells the kids it will be difficult to make a play without any elements that could offend certain people, in reference to the new law that states anything that offends minorities should be removed. Cartman says it's all Kyle's mom's fault, and Mr. Hankey angrily jumps on him.

However, only Kyle sees that, since everyone else only sees Kyle throwing poo at Cartman. He is sent to the counselor, Mr. Mackey, who diagnoses Kyle with fecophilia. His friends then commit him to a mental hospital.

Answer: Chef

New York composer Philip Glass is invited to play his "minimalistic music" for the play. The crowd is disappointed because the play turns out to be very boring. Chef, who fittingly is the school chef, asks the children where Kyle is, and they answer that he is in a mental hospital because he couldn't stop talking about a Christmas poo. Chef asks if that's Mr. Hankey, and the children realize it is real. They decide to believe and Mr. Hankey appears, stopping people from fighting and focusing on the good parts of Christmas instead of the bad parts. Everyone goes to the mental hospital to get Kyle, they all sing the Mr. Hankey song, and they get their Christmas presents.

Interestingly, Kenny doesn't die in this episode as usual, and the kids indirectly acknowledge this, when they say at the end of the episode that "something feels unfinished".
