The Valiant was originally commanded by Captain Ramirez, however he was critically injured in a battle with the Cardassians. Following the orders Ramirez received from Starfleet after his death, the new Captain, Tim Watters, collected information about the Dominion's new battle cruiser, however he believed he could go one step further... with disastrous consequences.

2. Odo sought dating advice from Vic Fontaine in the holosuite, however he felt he was confident only because Vic was using a holographic image of Major Kira. Vic promised to reprogram the hologram, but invited the real Major instead! In which episode did this occur?

Garak convinced Sisko that the forger, Grathon Tolar, was in a position to create the forgery that would convince Romulan Senator Vreenak the Dominion was plotting the invasion of Romulus. Unfortunately, the Romulan identified it as a fake, however Garak's true plan was blow up Vreenak's shuttle. This made it look like the imperfection in the recording was as a result of the explosion.

4. It's Jake Sisko vs Kira Nerys as the Prophets and the Pah'Wraiths each choose their 'vessel'. Evacuating the station, Captain Sisko was prepared to let the battle play out, however Kai Winn wasn't. In which episode did this occur?

Sisko brought a Bajoran artifact from Bajor to the station, much to Kai Winn's annoyance. She blamed the removal of the artifact for the unusual weather phenomenon that was affecting Bajor. In an unexplained fit of temper, Sisko smashed the artifact and by doing so released a Pah-Wraith.

The battle was fought between Jake (the Pah-Wraith) and Kira (the Prophet) on the promenade. Sisko allowed it as the Prophets had previously destroyed the Dominion fleet in the wormhole.

5. One of Quark's regular customers died and Quark was unhappy... until he was told he was to inherit the estate. However, all was not it seemed as several former business associates arrived on DS9 and staked their own claim. Which episode is being described?

Morn was involved in the Lissepian Mother's Day heist, in which one thousand bricks of gold pressed latinum were stolen. He faked his own death just as the statute of limitations expired, leaving Quark to deal with his former associates, all of whom wanted the bounty for themselves.

6. Dax, O'Brien and Bashir were conducting an experiment in a runabout which reduced them in size. However, the Jem'Hadar attacked and boarded the Defiant. The runabout crew must help their larger friends regain control of the ship. Was this episode called "One Little Ship"?

The Defiant was monitoring the runabout by holding them in a tractor beam, however the runabout crew were left on their own when the Dominion attacked. Whilst Captain Sisko and the rest of the crew stalled, the runabout crew were able to take the runabout inside the Defiant and release the bridge lock-outs so that the Jem'Hadar could be defeated.

7. Benny Russell was a black writer in 1950s America. When his magazine's illustrator showed him a picture of a space station, he was inspired to write the story of Deep Space Nine. Benny Russell was played by Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko) and Douglas Pabst was played by Rene Auberjonois (Odo).

In terms of when episodes aired, "Inquisition" marked the first appearance of both Section 31, the Federation equivalent of the Romulan Tal-Shiar and the Cardassian Obsidian Order, and Deputy Director Luther Sloan. Sloan believed that Doctor Bashir was a Dominion spy based on several of his more questionable decisions in previous episodes. Bashir was, however, able to convince Sloan that he was loyal to the Federation.

Unfortunately, whilst she was there, Dukat, possessed by a Pah-Wraith, beamed in and killed her instantly.
